Dome Resort Santorini

We have a 2 year old boy and found it difficult to find a family friendly, safe hotel that could accommodate us in this area. This hotel is superb. From all aspects. the room was extremely clean, spotless which is a great first impression The staff were so very friendly throughout. They go out of their way to satisfy. Exceeding expectations throughout our stay. The food was delicious. We worked our way through the menu! Our little one loved the rooms hot tub. Spent hours in it. The location is great. A short walk to Imerovigli and Thera. The hotel is on the other side of the Caldera view. So you cannot see Oia from the hotel, however you simply walk across the road and up 7 steps and its right there! However the bonus was the sunrise view is right in front of this hotel. I watched it from our front balcony a few times. Breath taking. Personally having watched the sunset many times and the sunrise, I think the sunrise is actually far more spectacular.

This hotel was a paradise! I loved everything. Very clean, outstanding service from every single employee, the menu was absolutely delicious and the drinks as well. The room was incredible, with a balcony that has the best view ever and we hot upgraded to a suite with an outside jacuzzi. I had the best experience so far among other resorts.This resort is highly recommended, not only for peaceful environment, but mostlyfir the excellent service I received from the staff. We are definitely coming back soon.

The place is beautiful, but what made it so great was the staff here. They helped my friends and I at every point of our stay. Completely awesome!

Not a great stay! My sister in law had booked 2 rooms and upon arrival we were notified that only 1 room was available despite having confirmation that we had 2 rooms booked. Not a great start to our holiday, although the reservations manger tried his best to accommodate us all he only managed to do that for the first 3 nights, the other couple of nights my sister in law and her husband were moved to a nearby hotel. Food was average more choice is needed as it’s the same menu for lunch and dinner. Location was okay but you need to get taxi’s everywhere and they aren’t very punctual. Pool is really cold so not ideal for children, would book elsewhere in future with a heated pool.

We booked 2 rooms at The Dome, a family room to accommodate 2 adults and 2 children and another room to accommodate 1 adults. Upon arrival there was only the family room available even though I had made 2 confirmed bookings with Hotels.com and had emails to confirm. The family room had been paid prior to arrival, however the standard room was payable upon arrival as confirmed by hotels.com. The reservations manager however said the reason for the room being cancelled was because the room hadn't been paid for prior to arrival, although this isn't the case as confirmed by hotels.com. The reservations manager did try his best to find a solution and offered me and my friend complimentary drinks while he was trying to sort the issues out. He offered us 1 night stay at The Dome and said he would need to transfer us to another hotel for the rest of the stay (4 nights). At breakfast the following morning he said he had managed to accommodate us for a further 2 nights at the Dome and even though this meant we could be with the rest of the family, I had already packed from the night before so it meant unpacking again. For the final 2 nights we were accommodated to a nearby property which was lovely and I wish we had been moved there after the first night. Dimitris was very helpful but we didn't have the best stay and the relaxing holiday we were hoping for. The bar staff were exceptional,food and drink was good but more variety to the menu needs to be added
