A disappointing stay.
We were disappointed after having read the great reviews of others. The accommodations were ok but needed a good airing out after the winter. I use a CPAP machine and had to find a folding table from the kitchen to set my machine on. There was no radio or alarm in the bedroom and only one reading lamp on the other side of the bed. We had expected a proper B&B after reading the reviews of the "great breakfasts" and were very disappointed to find that we had been left 2 slices of store bread, 2 supermarket sickly sweet muffins, a couple of ziploc bags of sweet cereal, and a couple of oranges on the counter. We also found a bowl of eggs, and 2 slices of ham covered with plastic wrap in the fridge. Having stayed in a number of B&Bs in Canada and Europe, this was NOT what we consider good B&B service! Also, we noted that there were movies available. Margaret, our host, said she was "technology challenged" and wasn't sure how all the remotes worked. When we figured out how to switch on the Netflix, we discovered everything offered was Pay Per View. Anyway, we will find alternate accommodations for our next visit to Peterborough.

The Burleys Garden suite was a lovely place to stay for a few days. Cozy and cleverly laid out. The owners were very accommodating and let us use the second room on short notice.

Margaret and Bob Burley are super friendly and had all the comforts of home in the beautiful suite! Deinitely the place to stay in Peterborough and absolutely LOVE the gorgeous plants and unique gifts in the shop!
