I was looking for an inexpensive motel with free WiFi for an overnight stop. This motel was inexpensive, and had free.WiFi, but my room had problems. The shower had no water and the sink faucets were reversed (hot tap gave cold water and cold tap gave hot water). Also, yhe only loght was the room overhead. The motel is undergoing a renovation, and I expect that my room was not completely finished. The motel needs to check each room for completion before renting it.

Pros: The room was basic but clean and comfortable. The woman at the front desk, Rachel, was very helpful. Cons: Evidently the motel is in the middle of a name change to "Motel Y." I received no notification of this, and even today the messages I'm receiving are in regards to "Sun Country Inn." The road in front of the motel is undergoing heavy construction, and there is ZERO indication that it was formerly called Sun Country Inn, no signage, no evidence that it was open at the time. As such, we drove back and forth for a half-hour trying to find the motel, and we finally had to call to find out about the name change. Once I got into the office, Rachel told me that due to the computer changeover, she had trouble finding my reservation I had made several weeks before. Once she did find it, after several minutes of digging, she told me the room cost had increased. Not by a great amount, but I was still not informed. Then, I was told that due to the extensive remodeling, no rooms on the ground floor were available. This was a considerable hardship for my elderly family members who were with me. To conclude: the worst communication I've ever had with a motel.

Nothing to write home about
They'd lost our reservation and had to put us in a lesser room for the first of three nights. They did not knock off any price, but let us eat a great breakfast at the Best Western for free. Sonja and Rebecca did their very best to do right for us. The remodeling that was taking place started before 7am on Memorial Day. That wasn't cool. The fan in the bathroom didn't work.

This place is super outdated-furniture, fixtures etc. And it’s in the worst part of town-the homeless shelter is nearby and many men were seen loitering during the day. There was an old sink faucet and pink Formica countertop where the coffee maker and cups were stored. Instead of tile on the shower walls they used the same vinyl from the floor. The soap felt like it was made of sandpaper. So did the thin towels. The good was the bed, pillows, TV and ac/heat unit. They are undergoing renovation. The back el looks like it’s been updated and when it’s all done it will no doubt be really nice.

The Staff was very friendly as well as the property manager who we ran into in the lobby. The toilet ran some, making a noise and the breakfast needs peanut butter :) Other than that very nice, friendly, quiet place. Do wish the pool would have been opened
