Apartment 149 was disgusting stains in the bathroom,old coffee left in the percolator filthy really. The decor was tired and stuck in 1982. Truly awful.

Vilar Do Golf
We stayed in a one bedroom premium villa that was upstairs that had a large balcony giving us a fantastic view. Nuno in reception was excellent and extremely helpful. The restaurant on the site IL Vero was a real surprise, excellent location with a view across a golf course, with excellent staff and food. We look forward to returning to Vilar Do Golf. Note some villas are being refurbished.

Beautiful resort & amazing stay
We had an amazing stay at Vilar Do Golf this week. We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed every moment of it. The grounds were beautiful with views of golf courses, and the restaurants and villas were all stunning around the roads inside the property. The pool was one of our favourite spots and we throughly enjoyed the inside pool too. It was a shame that the pool bar and snack bar wasn’t open but it was out of season but would have been good to have known this ahead of time. The rooms were comfy and the villas them selves were clean and spacious. The staff were warm and welcoming and gave us a private tour on a golf buggy when we arrived which was a really fun way to start of our experience. We also got to check in early which was greatly appreciated as it got us more time to explore. We also loved the cafe bar on site which looked over the golf course, the food and drinks were stunning. It was very quiet in general as it is out of season, would be interesting to see what it would be like with more of an atmosphere in the communal areas. Overall we had a lovely time staying here and would love to come back for future holidays and would recommend this serine and calming resort to friends and family.

Stayed for a four day break at the end of Feb. Had a two bed villa and the awful smell coming from the en suite bathroom was horrible. Notified staff who said it would be looked into but it only got worse! No gym or sauna open even though it’s listed as such which was disappointing. Very few of the air conditioning units worked - couldn’t turn on the heating when needed! Did get late checkout though, at a cost of €22 which suited our late flight but at €11 an hour it’s pricey! Would consider returning in the high season.

Excellent accommodation at a great price
Excellent hotel on a well-maintained golfing estate. Indoor pool is heated so it is great for all year round use. Rooms very well equipped. Staff very friendly. Our only negative is the late check-in time but no other complaints.

Avoid booking at all costs
The worst experience in more than 20years of visiting this area in Portugal. Villa was very run down and mouldy and basically uninhabitable.

Highly recommend
Perfect choice for families and groups in the Quinta do Lago area. The staff were really friendly & helpful. We loved all restaurants on site including the clubhouse when we needed a quick bite to eat. Amazing views over the fairways and walking distance to a number of Quinta’s popular spots.
