Onsite parking was helpful, within walking distance of everything was very convenient. Room was small but did the job as we were not there to spend our time in the hotel. Breakfast in our room is odd but understandable due to Covid. My only recommendation would be to have at least a folding table available in the room to eat on as we weren't a fan of eating on the bed. Other than that, it was great value for the price.

Broughton Hotel was great for the convenience of access to the city centre, free parking included, and breakfast included. It was also in a good level of cleanliness and the owners had really considered how to limit contact to protect themselves and the guests against COVID-19. However, there were a couple of things that would have made it even better. It was great that they thought of how to do breakfast with less contact, even if it was different from the usual breakfast they do, but a couple of extra things they could have thought of with this are: provision of clean spoons and cups for breakfast as we were expected to use the ones in the room but on the second day these had already been used and not had opportunity to wash properly, and provision of a table or at least a tray to help with having breakfast each morning in the room. Overall, it was a good place to stay though for what we needed at the time.

Great location.
The location is important in Edinburgh and the parking is always a bonus. This place has both and an outstanding breakfast.

Great location for an overnight stay
Great location, parking was a plus feature as we didn’t want to drive within the city. Bedroom & bathroom were a bit too small but ok for one night. Carpet on stairs didn’t look great, the property could benefit of changing it for a darker colour.

Wonderful stay in a perfect location to see the Castle and Royal Mile.

Parking was free but the cars needed to be stacked in like in a driveway. The manager said they’d just enter my room, take the keys, and move my rental. I declined.
