Not able to sleep
I was not able to sleep at all. Upon check in I was given a room facing Lombard and was told that the courtyard rooms are quieter. That was an understatement. I was awakened by my bed rattling and shaking. I wasn't sure if we were having an earthquake or I was right over the BART underground. This persisted the entire night. The next morning I informed the front desk and was told it was just the traffic and for an additional $100 I could move into the courtyard area. Then I was given earplugs. For such a quaint looking spot, its unfortunate that the customer service is terrible and you can't actually get a good nights rest.

Poor 2.0
The first time we stayed was in an interior courtyard room. It was really quaint (dated but clean) with plants and paintings that are truly charming. The 2nd time we made the mistake of booking "street view". BEWARE!! Lombard is a major street. The building is old so the noise is horrible! There is about a 2 hour period during the night where it's quiet enough to sleep. "Street view" means it sounds like you're sleeping on the sidewalk next to a traffic light. Also the radiator won't go on until the temperature is low enough to turn it on for the building (after dark), and clangs when it turns on - including in the middle of the night. I'd recommend if you get a courtyard room, but stay away from the "street view"!

Charming Place
This is a little known gem of a motel in Cow Hollow, nothing fancy but lots of charm and coziness.

I stayed with my Mother to show her around town. I am in my late 20s, and her in her early 60s for context. We loved the place, great food/shops nearby.. and the motel itself was very quaint. Quality of the service was by far the best selling point... all the ladies at the front desk were amazing. Would recommend to anyone.. location/convenience and service hard to beat.

I got what I paid for, I guess. It was just a place to sleep. I did not like the service, but the room was well kept and clean.

Great character but didn’t sleep at all.
It’s was a great location. One downfall. I got a room on the street because it came with a kitchen. Figured they would put the kitchen on the street side and bedroom in the courtyard. Nope opposite. Bed next to window on Lombard. Super loud. Got no sleep. Lombard traffic all night long. Will stay here again just will not get a street side room.

Traffic noise and building shakes with traffic!!!
No heat! The building shook like we were having an earthquake when trucks on Lombard drove by. All night long!!! Noise! Noise ! Noise! Website said Free Parking! They don't say that is for those units that have a parking place. Not all rooms have parking. Not a great deal for the "Secret Price" which i will never do again.

Love this place!
This is our second time staying here. We stayed for five nights this summer, as well. It’s a clean, extremely safe motel with private parking for everyone. It’s also close enough to walk to the Palace of Fine Arts and close to Muni.
