Do not stay here Fri/Sat if you wish to sleep!
If you are looking to stay in Fortitude Valley on a Friday or Saturday night and you wish to go to sleep before 3.30am, book a different hotel. This hotel gets a 9/10 rating, so I ignored the bad reviews thinking that these people were just whinging over small things and booked a room here for a Friday night. The hotel is attached to a night club that does not close until after 3am. Because of this not only do you have music absolutely blaring into your room as if the party is inside it, but the ceiling, windows and fixtures attached to the wall creak and vibrate. I wish I was exaggerating! The staff informed me it would get noisy in the evening, stating that it was just how Fortitude Valley was. I visit the area 4-6 times a year to attend various concerts or events and have never had an experience like this one. I have never had to leave a bad review. This was not a Fortitude Valley issue, it is a Constance Hotel issue. Unless the night club moves or shuts down, the issue will remain. If you are looking to stay during a weeknight, I am sure it is a fine hotel. The beds are super soft, the room was clean and while the bathrooms could do with an update, they were also clean. But again, if you are going over the weekend and wish to sleep, stay away. Everywhere else we have booked in Fortitude Valley with similar ratings has been great, so you have lots to choose from.

No Sleep here… noisy and a bit smelly.
Noisy, so noisy until 4am the room shook as the roof has a bar/nightclub. This shouldn’t be a hotel, as a hotel room has the expectation that you can sleep in it. Booked for 2 nights, checked out after one. Staff were apologetic it’s clearly an issue. Perhaps OK if you’re going out locally and not coming back to sleep… unfortunately room also had a nasty drain smell, covered the floor vents in the bathroom and it masked it. Car park is open and not secure - don’t trust it or leave anything on show. Overall very disappointed, the noise is just not acceptable for a hotel, and especially at this price point.

I loved the Constance hotel and location, room was great, bed was comfortable however the loud music from nightclub next door prevented sleep until 3am. Bring earplugs if you’re staying on the weekend nights. Expensive 4 hour sleep!

Great location for a short stay
Despite some reviews saying this hotel has noise issues I did not experience any noise problems (I did stay Sunday - mid week so maybe this is an influence). Hotel is in a great location for The Valley with easy transport links from Fortitude station a couple of minutes walk away. Rooms are clean, comfortable and functional, if a little small.
