I booked this room because the Hotel advertised as having a Jacuzzi which was not functioning. There was no television in the room. We asked for an extra blanket which they said they would bring to us, but they did not until the next day. A dog was outside our door every time we came and went and then barked at night and woke us four times. It is 242 steps uphill if you want to see the view.

The mountain view was the highlight of this hotel. However, you need to walk uphill/downhill to go to/from the room to the lobby and cafeteria. Hotel does offer shuttle to take you and your luggage close to your room. No other food option around except for the hotel restaurant and their set menu. The food was good and reasonably priced compared to the other big hotels in the city. We were supposed to be picked up from the Divisedaro train station but no one showed up. Hotel is about 2 miles from the station. We arranged a local transport to go to the hotel from the station and fare was overpriced. Hotel did give us a complimentary return shuttle to the train station. Hotel also offers free walking tour which I suggest taking as it takes you to a trail by the canyon and deep into the area where the native people are living. Hotel offers shuttle to the Adventure Park with a fee. The front desk people and other staff are nice and friendly and some of them can speak English which was a big plus for us as we cannot speak Spanish. Sunrise from the property was awesome. The rooms are average but the canyon view from the balcony is the main reason for staying at this hotel.

Wonderful, magical hotel. Staff was great, the owner was on the property often and was a wonderful helpful, kind person. We went to the more modem hotel next door for a drink and decided that we had the best deal by far! I highly recommend this hotel!

transport from train OK; check-in OK. Rooms OK. Not much choice for food and they charge 250 pesos/person/meal for lunch and dinner.

I would not recommend this hotel. The main problems can be summed up as follows - the service is subpar and the staff are inattentive. For instance, no one informed us upon checking in that there is only one shuttle daily to/from the Adventure Park. When we came downstairs 15 min too late, the front desk staff told us we had to walk 45 minutes to get to the park (which is only a 10 min drive), and that there was no other way to reach it (no taxi, no way to pay extra for a shuttle even though more shuttles were parked outside). This information really should have been communicated up front, since not all guests would be able to walk 1.5 hours round trip on hilly roads to the park. The following day when we returned to the park for a second activity, we found out that the shuttle was not included in the room fees. This was not communicated until check-out, when we were presented with the extra charges (200 pesos/person). Additionally, it appears that there is differential treatment of individuals, couples, and large groups. They ran shuttles up to large groups' hotel rooms for meals, and were much more accommodating for them (~10 people) than for us as a pair. Also, please beware that you may get conflicting information from hotel staff - we were told 2 conflicting bus schedules to Creel, for instance. The only upside of this hotel is the view of the canyon from the balcony - so if you do decide to stay here, I would urge you to pay the bit extra for a room with a canyon view.

This property is so beautiful and unique there is no way to not appreciate it. We had a great time at the hotel and the location, on the edge of the canyon, cannot be beat.

The hotel is great for enjoying the magnificent views of the Copper Canyon. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, if a little cold early morning and night in the winter months. We didn't mind because we are used to this in England.

Great views - worth the steps (and higher room rates) up to the canyon view rooms
