first thing receptionist was not friendly . didnt explain everything . breakfast time they said 6.30 to 8.30 . but they opened breakfast room at 6.45 . no body came to take order . they took the order and serve to people came after us . when we question them they said they have to take care of the group first eventhough we were there first .we told them we will be late for the tour pickup . still the server did not do anything .we mention it to the receptionist . she said its out of my control . so we did not get any breakfast ' they are very rude . not friendly at all . room was not clean . no table or chair in the room . no hot water for the wash room . we never had a bad experience like this in our life . i will no recommend that hotel to anybody . .

Really cute! Location was great, the free breakfast was delicious every day, and the staff was super helpful and kind. There was a big student group staying at the same time as us, and they automatically upgraded us to a different cabin further away from them in case they were noisy. Manfred at the front desk helped us with whatever we needed, and we really enjoyed hanging out with their two friendly dogs!

Amazing Stay
The front desk service was excellent. Booked excursions for us, took care of room accommodation, and helped solve our transportation problem. Service and breakfast at restaurant was excellent, food was delicious. Great veiw from resort but located up a steep hill making walk to town and back quite the workout. We would stay here again and would highly recomend this hotel.

Nice hotel. Good food and drinks. Beds are very hard. Not many amenities in the room. Good choice of restaurants and shops near by. MonteVerde is very hilly so the short walk down to the Center of town not good for people with mobility issues. Cheap cab ride instead.

It was an okay stay. Our least favourite stay of our Costa Rica trip but also the cheapest by far. The wifi doesn’t work unless in the restaurant/bar. Our bed was broken and had springs sticking through, but we also didn’t have high expectations.

A great place to stay
Hotel Don Taco was a great choice for us. The place is well kept and the people were so nice. Service was great with breakfast included and a happy hour with Alberto. Manfred, in the office, assisted with setting up a night hike for us as well as helping with directions to La Fortuna, the less traveled way! Our stay at don Taco was outstanding and the price very reasonable. We loved the two house dogs Paco and Figo too!
