Room was clean, although very warm when we arrived. Bed comfy. Restaurant had limited hours but good food, good service and good prices. The hotel as well as the grounds however are in quite a bit of disrepair which is unfortunate. The ghost town was great, and admission was 1/2 price for hotel guests

The staff was very nice. We enjoyed the beautiful view of the lake. The honour system kayak rentals was convenient. The ghost town next door was super creepy in a good, fun way. The property definitely has lots of rustic charm. It would have been nice to see the gardens taken better care of.

View was super, internet only at lobby and restaurant only, house keeping was bad, shower faucet was leaking, towel has hair on it, one bed sheet has smell of sweat and shampoo and soap bottles was opened.

Loved everything about this place. The hotel. The staff. The ghost town. The location.

Really liked the location, situated in a canyon with cliffs either side with its own lake. The hostess at the restaurant kept our 2 year old entertained. Had no idea about the railway museum and ghost town, it's massive The owner collected old buildings from across BC. The hotel is off grid, since BC Hydro was too expensive to bring in to the remote location. What I didn't like was there was no internet in the rooms, you had to go to the lobby, even then YouTube is blocked unless you have a vpn.The tvs only have 10 channels which are staticy. Overall I would recommend people stay a night to experience the place.
