Second thoughts on staying the night
Waited 15-20 minutes for front desk service, then check-in was fast and efficient. Towels and linens need to be replaced, as they had different shades of white. Bed sheets had small dark stains, not sure of what. I’m not a delicate guy, but the unique and unpleasant smells from the bed sheets and pillow cases made me sleep in my clothes and stuff the pillows in t-shirts for added protection. Selection of TV channels was less than 10, although they did have HBO. The area around the motel had several eateries and stores, and did feel safe.

Very dirty
Very very dirty. Did not look like the room was cleaned and it had an odor. Very dirty room. Ive stayed at a lot of motel 6 locations and this is by far one of the worst ive been too. If you have no other options i guess its better than being outside, that being said, only if you have a blanket to lay down on the bed so you dont lay on dirty looking sheets. Did not use shower because it was nasty. Overall, not good. They need better Maintenance and cleaning and to renew floors or paid or something.

No good vibes
This hotel experience was underwhelming and quite uncomfortable. There are transients on the property and the property is not secure from the freeway. I saw someone leave the motel grounds and walk through an opening in a fence and onto the freeway. There was construction going on in the room above mine, I was in 139. This kept things noisy until about 5 pm. When I put the toilet seat down for the first time I discovered a fecal smear on the actual seat. This got overlooked by housekeeping and makes me wonder what else did. There was not a comforter on the bed. The towel in the shower wouldn’t fit an adolescent, let alone an adult male. The room smelled awful. I tried to air it out with the door and window open for over an hour. This didn’t help and it made me wonder if they allowed smoking in there. It gave me a headache. I chose this hotel for it’s proximity to an event I was attending on the same side of town. Price was not significantly cheaper than other options and did not play a major factor in my decision. I hope to find other lodging options nearby in the future. Tom Bodet needs to do more than just leave the light on.

10/10!!!!! CORRECTION TO PREVIOUS REVIEWS: in past reviews I have been pretty negative to this property. To be honest as I always have been this property has made a great amount of changes for the BETTER. The upgraded to rooms to better appliances and TVs and upgraded to cable to a better choice setup. They are doing major upgrades to prepare the property for an even better experience and more affordable. I have been to this property many times and each time something better has changed. They recently added solar which we all know is more cost effective. The pool area is always clean and well kept. The cleaning staff is very friendly. They remember the little things and that’s important. The goal of the negative reviews was more to fix the property for the manager to notice but he has been doing a great job behind the scenes to make this property great. He has also been here more often for the guests to voice concerns if they have any. This motel is in a great area of Davis. Shopping is near by. I know this place will keep improving for the customer for a long time to come. Thank you for reading this, AT
