Seedy area, extremely small rooms, and and shabby bar. Not recommended.

Would have been 4 stars, but for lack of wifi and the complete lack of concern from staff. Sorry, but 5 nights without WIFI isn't good enough, and either a discount or some kind of compensation should be offered. We had an economy double at 690AUD for 5 nights - a fair price. Decent modern, and very quiet, room with good bathroom, fridge and kettle. Yes it was small, but there was enough room for our 2 medium size (60l) suitcases). Bring a big case and you'll struggle. On the edge of the red light district - but this is Japan, so take that with a pinch of salt - I was happy walking on my own as a woman, even at night. Can be avoided by approaching via Higashi-Shinjuku metro station. Breakfast ridiculously expensive, but convenience stores within a few minutes walk and a small fridge in the room. A good option if you don't need regular access to wifi.

Clean & Cosy Hotel
The hotel room was cosy and very clean. Everything was good, from front desk to answering queries to comfortable room to smooth checking out. The only down side is the area where the hotel is situated. It’s located in the red light district area where there are many pubs and bars therefore it is strongly advised that you do not walk the area alone. It is safe but because it’s really quite poorly lit, it’s better to walk in a pair or bigger group.

Exceptional 10.0
great stay for a good price
really liked this hotel and the area. it's a very lively neighborhood but the rooms are very quiet with blackout curtains for a good night's sleep. the rooms are in great condition and the amenities are also perfect, including coffee, and a mini speaker in the room. plus a scrub towel, slippers and a robe for bathroom. late checkout at 12.... totally worth the money

Nice loft room
Quiet, loft room, decent size for Tokyo for its price range. Smackbang in the middle of Shinjuku, doesn't really get more convenient than that. Of course, being in a nightlife area as a foreigner means getting stopped and checked by the racist police quite a few times 'stop and search style', but it's usually quite quick. Room was quiet, the city night view great! Curtains don't fully close so room was a bit bright for a light sleeper. Great value for money

The hotel and room were really good except for one thing: the room temperature could not be adjusted low enough and it was too hot to sleep. The window could not be opened. Since being to sleep is an essential part of a hotel experience, I cannot rate the hotel highly.

Quick stay in Tokyo
Hotel was large and ok for short stay. Had no view from room looking at air conditioning units outside the window. Room and hotel a bit old & dated but otherwise clean and comfortable.

Shinjuku fun
One night stay before flight. Try to get a high floor for nice view. I got a double bed room , nice bathroom good bed but no comfy seating🤔. The outdoor bar was nice and the location right in the action.

Great location but little else going for it.
It’s important to give context that we were staying in a variety of levels of hotels throughout japan and the only other hotels we stayed in in Tokyo were very high end. That being said, this hotel was not up to snuff for us. The room was tiny. The facilities were nonexistent. The bathroom in the “lobby” was the worst i saw in Japan. No bellman. Nice front desk staff. If you are a budget solo traveler, this is probably a great place. If not, I’d look elsewhere. The location is great but we could barely fit in our room with our luggage.

Your reception staff Maya is excellent. She is very helpful and goes beyond of her scope of job like doing the job of a bell man, giving reminders, and very patient answering and giving out information. Housekeeping is efficient. Breakfast is good but serve more variety each day.
