Clean & Cosy Hotel
The hotel room was cosy and very clean. Everything was good, from front desk to answering queries to comfortable room to smooth checking out. The only down side is the area where the hotel is situated. It’s located in the red light district area where there are many pubs and bars therefore it is strongly advised that you do not walk the area alone. It is safe but because it’s really quite poorly lit, it’s better to walk in a pair or bigger group.

great stay for a good price
really liked this hotel and the area. it's a very lively neighborhood but the rooms are very quiet with blackout curtains for a good night's sleep. the rooms are in great condition and the amenities are also perfect, including coffee, and a mini speaker in the room. plus a scrub towel, slippers and a robe for bathroom. late checkout at 12.... totally worth the money

Good hotel in a good location. Modern and clean.
Great location for access to the nightlife. Breakfast was average. No room service for coffees. Staff friendly enough and do their best to communicate with varying levels of English. Room AC very dry so must have a separate humidifier type machine running constantly so the air is not too dry.

Great hotel in an okay area
The Granbell Hotel was great and the service was good. It was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. There was a slight issue with the air conditioner having an error on the screen and the room was really warm. I notified the front desk on my way out and when I came back it was fixed and nice and cold. Great service! The hotel is located in the Kabukicho area of Shinjuku which is known for its "Love Hotels" and night life. However, I did not fear for my safety while walking to/from the hotel alone (even at night!) Our room was on a high floor so we didn't hear a lot of street noise and had a great view of the city.
