El Royale is a GEM!!!
My stay at El Royale was a surprising highlight of my trip! I started my trip at a Marriott in another part of LA and really wish I had moved to El Royale in Studio City sooner. Initially, I was slightly nervous traveling alone as a female, but I quickly felt very safe and comfortable there. The owners keep a close eye on the place, they’re so kind, accommodating, and we had some fun conversations. I saw a review complaining about being moved to their Gardens property next door, so when the same happened to me, I was nervous at first. But I’m not sure what they were complaining about, because the Gardens room was perfect for me! It was very clean, updated, quiet, their Covid precautions were appreciated, the bed was the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept on (and king sized!), and the room was way more homey and inviting than other hotels. It felt more like my own little studio apartment than other hotel rooms. I also saw complaints about the loudness of the AC, but it was absolutely fine for me, not distracting while I worked, and I actually put the fan on high at night as it blocked outside noise and helped me sleep better. I also appreciated the size of the fridge and having a microwave. I ended up extending my stay by 2 nights because I was so comfortable there. It’s also walking distance to stores and restaurants. Overall, I highly recommend this little gem! I will definitely stay there again when I go back to LA! Thanks for a wonderful stay, El Royale!!!

Great Front Desk, room is very clean, great selection on TV channels, AC is make some noise and it’s not quite cool enough. The room is small and can here some noise from next rooms. Bathroom has shower no tub but shower was running great.

A nice, cozy overnight getaway retreat.
Our hotel stay was nice and the bed was very comfortable. The overall room was updated with very contemporary fixtures in the room and bathroom. It was very cozy and nice. I just wish the size of the room had been a bit larger but since we were there for only 1 night it suited us for what we needed which was a romantic overnight stay for my birthday.
