The hotel is staffed by incompetent staff and managers and not at all equipped to receive and host international visitors. We are avid international travelers and were visiting with a senior citizen and child from the US. They hotel staff was not able to process our credit card for payment. We went to this hotel after several days in the walled city where we used our credit cards with other hotels and service providers. Radisson staff was convinced that it was an issue with our cards and the bank. They would not check us in till we magically resolved their IT issue. We were on phone with our bank for hours - and they kept telling us that transaction requests are not being sent to the banks at all. After hours of waiting in the lobby with a tired senior citizen, we decided to scramble cash for day 1. Then we followed up with Radisson international who told us that they had a IT issue. The next day there was a little more competent staff who managed to figure out that they were missing a step for using international cards and then process our payment. Overall - terrible experience. Will suggest all international travelers to stay away from this place.

I liked the attentiveness of the staff. The breakfast, however, could have done with less starch. Then again, the breakfasts may have been what Columbians have for breakfast. While, I, an American, am used to less carbohydrates for breakfast.

Decent but nothing amazing. Just a normal hotel. Pool is small but adequate. Only 1 restaurant, which got old quickly. Beach is nice. Staff and service is slow, but I think that is a cultural thing, not indicative of unfriendliness. All in all, it was fine. Its Colombia, so you have to be a little more forgiving.

My experience at the Radisson Cartagena was disappointing. On the positive side, the room was always clean and the food was nice. On the negative side, the service was very slow both at check in and check out, at the restaurant and bar. Staff members were sometimes nice and in several occasions, negligent or hostile. In the room, I could not get hot water for two days, and the air-conditioning was loud. I could also hear was what happening in the room next to me. I was interrupted by staff in the middle of the day (she opened the door to my room having just knocked and not waiting for me to answer). I did not find this hotel welcoming or special in any way. I will never go back and I don´t recommend it.
