The staff is not well trained, they don’t tell everything you need to know, sometimes they lie about things that are not done, they don’t supply items requested on time, and even shut off the AC if you leave your room without previous notice, and when you come back the room it is hot as hell. They don’t have room service, but if you want to bring something to the other one that didn’t want to go to the cafeteria, they don’t allow it. The front desk employees are kind of rude, always trying to not please the customer. In a summary, they have a lot to improve yet.

Not a 5-star but it’s still a very good bargain
13 nights at the LG Inn and I already booked a return. To be fair, you get what you pay for and a bit more because of cleanliness and location. The weak points that need to be improved: 1) only one elevator working but it’s fast and not much of a wait. 2) safety. A friend came to visit me and once he mentioned my name and my room number, front desk simply activated a key card to my room and gave it to him thinking it was me. No ID requested. Elevators do not need key card and anyone can go up to any floor. Points that didn’t bother me but might be a problem for some people: 1) breakfast doesn’t change much. But it’s included in the rate and they don’t run out of food. Totally worth it also for one of the kitchen staff (Rebeca) who’s very professional and friendly. 2) basic furniture, okay mattress, good shower head with hot water. Soap bar is the only amenity item I had. 3) I had a good check-in experience with Adriana but overall the staff is cold to work at a front desk of a hotel. Many times I passed by and the staff was on their personal phones and never acknowledged me which can be a safety drawback. The best thing about this hotel is the location. It’s in a busy street but the windows block the noise really well. There is a big mall just 5 minutes/10 reais Uber ride away and a big Carrefour supermarket across the street with many services inside including dry-cleaner. Boa viagem Beach is also 3 blocks down the road. In sum l totally recommend LG Inn.

World Cup in Recife
Overall, a good experience with this hotel. The room size was bigger than I was expecting and the king size bed was a nice change. Close to the beach and shopping for those who don't mind walking. Otherwise, a cheap taxi to big shopping malls and farmers market shopping is worth it. I would stay here again if I ever went back to Recife. The rooms don't have WIFI, but they do in the lobby.
