Hard to find and get to but fantastic host and amazing views from our up stairs room with a history lesson thrown in. Need to read his email carefully

This B&B is run by a rather interesting character who is a charming man who speaks very good English and is very welcoming. The decor of this (in parts) 400 year old house is a little eccentric a Cherub over the bed and stars painted on the blue ceiling. Access to the building is up a rather steep road and then down some uneven steps. For some this would add to the charcter of the place for others it would just be an inconvenience. Definitely not wheelchair accessible. However, the view over the sea is fantastic. We slept really well on the large bed and despite daytime temperatures of 35 degrees were perfectly comfortable even though there is no air con. He advertises his lunch busting breakfast for good reason, so eat light the night before. This was ours, freshly squeezed OJ, fresh fruit salad, melon wrapped in Parma ham served with stacchino cheese (he will tell you all about it) and warm focaccia with Gorgonzola. Bread, pastries, coffee and a range of teas, jams, honey, etc etc. What we didn't eat he made into sandwiches for us.

We had an amazing stay with Pier in his house. He is an amazing host. At our arrival he came to pick us up and help us with our bags. He told us about the activities and the restaurants around his place. The next day he prepared a beautiful and delicious breakfast and he told us about the history of the Ventimiglia. At the end he gave me some flowers as a gift. We loved him and his beautiful house and whenever want to visit Ventimiglia we will stay at his place.
