Photos look better than the actual hotel
Quite a small hotel with small rooms. I wouldn't class this as a luxury hotel and services are basic. The room is a bit dusty and doesn't feel completely clean.

Small but clean and comfortable
Wonderful staff and clean room. Good location. Room was very small but comfortable (not a lot of space for luggage). I would come back.

Our stay at Archer
We arrived earlier than check-in time but got the room without waiting so staff was very accommodating and that was nice. Location was good but room and bathroom were small overall, I know this is NY but another 4 stars hotel room I stayed after Archer was more spacious. The downside for us was that in the morning when we had to check out, there was a problem with power so there was no hot water in the building and lifts weren't working either. While I understand this can happen, it was a big inconvenience for me and my friend. She had to take a bus to travel to another city so we couldn't take shower or get ready properly and using cold water in February isn't much fun. Luckily, she didn't have any luggage so we used stairs to go down. While my friend had to leave earlier, I still had some time before my check-out so after couple of hours lifts started working but water was still cold. I couldn't wait any longer and decided to leave (I was moving to another hotel so decided to take hot shower there). I was quite surprised that I wasn't offered any compensation when I checked out. Would I stay there again? I don't think so.

Short NYC break.
The rooms are small but the view, location and rooftop bar make up for it. Great hotel and would definitely stay there again.
