Dirty, run down place: avoid it!
To begin with, this is NOT a guest house: we never saw the owners, and the resident manager was just there to hand over the keys and collect payment, like in a hotel. Except that this place lacked the professionalism you find in any hotel. The building was run down, the furniture was old (not antique: just plain old) and broken, and I wouldn't be surprised if some of it had been picked up at a dumpster. The worst part were the beds: smelly, filthy and plain dirty. The bed linens had stains, holes, and were most probably not fresh - horrible! The only positive aspect of that place was the breakfast, which was quite good. Just too bad there was enough space for all the "guests" to sit (some settled for the staircase, with their breakfast plate on their knees) and too bad too the kitchen / sitting area was as dirty as the rest. In one sentence: just avoid this place!

could not find anybody so we could check in - the guy who did check us in - showed us how to use the key and handed us our bill and left - when i tried to find someone later to inform them of our plans for leaving early - the only person i could find could not talk english - when i asked to see the boss - manager or somebody in charge - he showed me where i could park my car - we flew in and did not have a car - the parking spot was next to at least 2 garbage bins over fulling with cans - water bottles and who knows what else - from now on i will be looking at other sites than hotels.com when looking for hotel rooms

Disappointed
I was concerned that the door to the room was glass as well as the door to the suite was glass. This left me feeling unsafe. No towels were left in my room. Keys to my room were left in the foyer before I arrived and no one was there to receive the keys when I left.

Not well thought out for comfort - will not return
From the outside the place was beautiful, especially the front porch/yard for relaxing. However, after check-in we discovered it was far from our expectations. There were several directions about where NOT to park, but no suggestions where to park. No parking in front front 8-6, 2hr parking on side street and only 3 parking spaces behind the house and warnings about getting towed if you park in any neighbor's spots. The kitchen/cooking was disappointing and not well thought out. There were several pans for cooking, but no utensils. We could heat water, but nocoffee maker (or coffee available anywhere in the morning). There was a scrubber and brand new washcloth, but no soap and only a tiny sink in the bathroom. No soap in the very tiny bathroom, no housekeeping service the next day, no toilet paper holder, a bottom sheet but no top sheet, windows that open but no screens.

Absolutely Horrible!
Not sure where to start. Room was filthy, had kitchen but no dish towels, soap, scrubby (which was required because the dishes had left over food on them). I had to wash every dish before we used them. Went to see the Manager but when we knocked on the manager's door another guest was staying there. She was kind enough to give us her tea towels, scrubby and soap. Bedroom had dirty Kleenex's under the bed and someone's sock. Old candy in corner under the nightstand. Tons of cobwebs in the corners on the wall and water damage around the windows which I originally thought was mold. The unit was not clean by any means, I'm still concerned about when the bedding was last changed. We needed to eat dinner in shifts as the cooking pot was large enough to boil eggs but not make a pot of spaghetti. Arrived in the dark was informed our room was in the basement (under the porch). The light was broken so it was really difficult to find the keyhole to get into our unit. One suggestion, remove the Breakfast rating, there is no breakfast or coffee or anything unless you buy it at the nearest grocery store and make it yourself. The only positive, nice gardens outside otherwise stay away from this one.
