Basic accommodation, in beautiful setting. Good service. Would stay again

Disappointed
Room was disappointing as did not have en-suite bathroom. Our bathroom was down the corridor. Had to get up in night and go to loo, so had to get dressed. Perhaps a couple of dressing gowns in the room would help. Asked if we could move but hotel fully booked, or so they said. No continental breakfast available, no porridge. Service and staff good. Just very disappointed

A good place to stay with excellent breakfast and friendly staff. Ensuite room clean but bit tired finish on skirting and grouting in shower.

Avoid room two
First of all the upside! here is a building that is segregated from the main reception of a golf course and accommodation offered is essentially ia B&B. And as such I thought was good value for money and a fantastic location, I believe there are a total of seven bedrooms. Upon booking I’m afraid I didn’t pick up on the fact that it was a B&B- as I was under the impression that when booking on Hotels.com, I expected a hotel. However upon our arrival we were met by a young man who showed us to our room. we walked in to our room to discover that there was no ensuite bathroom. (Room 2) my wife complained and we were without fuss, moved to another room, We were very happy with the replacement until the following morning when at breakfast we were informed that we would have to move from the replacement room to room number two again, which appears to be the only one that doesn’t have an ensuite- it does however have its own dedicated bathroom which is across hall. The breakfast was very nice and the grounds are beautiful, it is set in an 18 hole golf course which has just had a restaurant refurbishment although was not complete during our stay- I’m sure it will be wonderful once opened. overall We enjoyed the premises but . The rooms are somewhat antiquated and could certainly do with a rewire as many of the cables are surface run and there are extension leads used wieldy and double socket was held together by tape

B:More 4 night short stay
Helpful staff, superb location. Near town, easy parking and quiet spot for a good nights sleep. Decor was uninspiring on first impression, but comfy bed, great en-suite shower and full English breakfast more than made up for this.

DISAPPOINTING STAY
Plug wouldn't stay in bath, had to move drinks facilities elsewhere, to accommodate hair and other personal products. No wardrobe, just hooks with only 3 coat hangers.duvet way too heavy for someone with arthritis or restless legs, like myself. Had to sleep under the bed throw !!! Bed had terrible ridge in middle due to 2 singles being shoved together, I had to sleep on only one half of the bed!. No sweeteners provided for diabetics or people on healthy eating plans. Leaky splashing bathroom sink taps. Vanity light in bathroom faulty, on off all the time. Lots of dust on top of vanity light bathroom and skirting boards. Very dangerous wobbly stool, all four legs VERY loose.and finally absolutely no signal of any kind for mobile phones. They really should state this very important matter on their website. I was alone and very vulnerable and upset about this. Breakfast, bacon was like cardboard and everything else was very bland, no flavour, I have personally never seen orange coloured scrambled egg! It obviously had some kind of colouring in it, no seasoning, but colour! Nothing here that Premier Inn can't offer at quarter of the price. VERY disappointed at this place for the exortionate price of £129!! pn. Having said all that, the bar staff etc were very kind and tried to help, but to no avail without a phone signal, I was disgusted. Only could find one good point, plenty of plug sockets ! For a lady o n her own, it's very isolated and a bit too scary for my liking

A Great Weekend in Henley on Thames
The only thing lacking was a fridge in the room ( I have medication that needs to be kept cool). A proper shower cubicle would be better that the over bath shower we had. But having said that, neither of these things spoiled our stay

Pleasant stay
Beautiful grounds, B & B set beside golf course, spacious family room, new bathroom, short drive to Henley on Thames which is a pretty village type town.
