Disgusting place
Not a hotel but ramshackle apartment described as a hotel. who rated this place as a 3 star hotel? A shame to hotels.com. Beware of the other so called hotels in this street.

Sapphire Hotel
Not impressed with the Sapphire Hotel. Service was not great and the room was not very clean. The paint on the walls was peeling in places and there was hairs on the pillows. On a positive note, it is located close to the tube station and to Westfield shopping centre.

Beautiful and clean but Bad staff
The night I got to the hotel Saffire they said my room was in Hotel Pearl (even though I had booked in Saffire). It was ok since it was 5 buildings far from Saffire Hotel. There is no elevator so I had to carry my heavy luggage by myself (since the staff didn't help me) to the second floor. The room was small but very clean and new. There was a mini fridge and a coffee machine. However there was no air conditioner, only a fan. The location is not the greatest but it is woth the price since it is close to Shepherd's Bush subway station. The breakfast is really poor so I think they could work on it. The worst part of my trip was on the check out time. There was noboby in the reception to receive my room key. I waited for 25 minutes but nobody showed up, even in the hotel Saffire (I went there to check it out). So I had to leave the key in front of the reception with nobody and sent them an e-mail explaining what happened.

Basic but brilliant for solo travellers
Good all round, always has reasonable prices, staff were great when I needed something printed early in the morning.

not bad. lots of transportation in area.
not a bad place... however, there was no air conditioner in my room. So, i was miserable. They did supply me with a fan, which helped tremendously. Hotel is conveniently located a few blocks away from Westfield Mall, as well as 2 Underground Stations. Plenty of bus stops around. Park nearby. Sushi around the corner was delicious. I needed a converter to plug in my phone to charge, and the guy right across the street, on the next block sold them. So it was great convenience. There is breakfast in the morning, but the head lady in charge of cooking had such an attitude with me. Made me feel sad and want to cry. She said "Help yourself"... but then told me to sit and wait for eggs. a girl brought me coffee, but I was not sure if it was milk she brought for the coffee, so i went back to grab some milk, from the same place where the head woman said "help yourself". instead, she got such an attitude with me, and told me to sit down. I wanted to cry. I felt so worthless. also, i thought i was looking for hotels with airport shuttle, but this hotel DOES NOT have airport shuttle. either way, just a short walk to Hammersmith station, and you hop on the train to Heathrow Airport. No big deal.
