Room at the top of three flights of narrow stairs. Off street parking was greatly appreciated, entrance to parking very challenging to anything bigger than a mid-size sedan. This is a gem for visiting Derry - just steps from all major sights yet offers parking and roomy guestroom. Teresa's check-in welcome was brilliant for how to see the city without moving the car or wandering aimlessly, a true timesaver. To be so close to everything and able to run out quickly was amazing in such a busy and congested area for drivers. CH facilitates a wonderful stay in Derry. Highly recommend walking the walls and visiting the Craft Village and Tower Museum within.

We loved our stay here. Small room but cozy bed. We were staying on the top floor, so just be aware, there is no elevator and the stairs are steep. Otherwise it was a perfect stay . There is private parking in the back with locked garages, one for each room. Loved that. And the common room kitchen and living area are perfect! Clean kitchen and they even have snacks free of charge! Thank you greatly! Will definitely recommend

Wonderful visit to Derry

The Chamberlain House is a very well-located and extremely clean place to stay in the lively and friendly city of Derry. I recently stayed there as part of a trip around Ireland and found the room to be very clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. Upon arrival, Teresa greeted us warmly and assisted us with accessing the parking area. She then gave us some excellent recommendations for what to do during our time in the city. We especially appreciated her dining recommendations, which were spot on - both the Blackbird, where we had supper, and the Scullery, where we had a fabulous breakfast on our last day, were outstanding, among the best meals we had on the entire trip. We also appreciated having kitchen access and being able to stay in such a central location - you really cannot beat it. Thanks for everything, Liam and Teresa!

The Derry Stay

It was very near all the places we intended to see-The Bogside. The Wall and the pubs. We slept like a log in the comfortable bed with the pristine cotton sheets. The help yourself breakfast was well organised and made for a very informal, friendly atmosphere along with the other guests. Special thanks must go to Theresa who was so obliging and came to our rescue with what to do with our cases and where to park. Liam, the owner, kept in touch and was very accommodating with check in time. We would have no hesitation in staying there again. Thank you for our stay.
