The room was beautifully furnished, included a fridge, kettle etc. The towels were big and fluffy, the bed very comfortable, the wifi working well. The bathroom was spacious and with all the toiletries you need. The staff were very welcoming and friendly - it made a huge difference to be met at the outside door (at the bottom of the staircase) and have my luggage carried up for me to the room and being shown everything I needed to know about room controls etc. It was great to have reception manned 24 / 7 - travelling as a woman alone that gave me reassurance that all would be well during my stay.

The room was clean, check-in was quick and staff was nice. However, it was quite noisy in the room because of the road adjacent to the hotel. It almost seemed like the windows were open, when they were in fact closed, so sound isolation is not good. Would recommend to take ear plugs with you, or buy some at the Boots across the road as I did.
