Ohmigosh, I loved staying here and was sorely disappointed that it was only for one night! Seriously, what wasn't to love. The Franklin has a great mix of old hotel friendliness and hospitality, with modern funky details. Rooms located upstairs, fairly quite mid-week, no noise from neighbours in other rooms or the next buildings. Bathroom and tea/coffee facilities were bright. So many fun quirks in the design. What made me giggle like a kid at a party, though, was the giftbag of goodies (lollies, chips, biscuits, chocolate) and the fruit in the hall. I'm smiling just thinking about staying here again. See you asap!

Nice, clean room with very roomy bathroom. Easy walk to city. Not ideal for business trip due to noise and lack of a good usable workspace or other seat in room. But for a fun break in Adelaide this would be great. Free mini bar is a nice inclusion and food at pub/bar downstairs was good.

The Franklin was a cool concept, but the room was very small and dirty given the price. When we got into the room a few bugs were crawling around, we stayed one night and saw many more. The bed sheets had black stains all over them. The Franklin charges as much as most nicer hotels in the area so we thought we were in for a nice stay at a boutique hotel but overall we were disappointed with the value and cleanliness and would not recommend staying here.
