    We arrived at the property thinking that we had paid for an all-inclusive stay for 4 days. Turns out it was for accommodations only, no food and beverage included. This is our fault for not reading the fine lines. However, what really upset us is the attitude of the front desk receptionist named Alejandro. Not once did he smile or give off a welcoming vibe throughout the whole check-in process. He was very blunt and dry about the fact that we need to pay an extra fee per person per night for the entire stay and did not want to make the experience any pleasant. We've been to a number of other resorts in Mexico and this was the first (and hopefully the last) time we were treated this way. He obviously did not enjoy working there or didn't want to bother with a smile. We also found it very difficult to get a server to take our orders while we were out on the beachfront, by the pool, or even anywhere on the property. There is just a handful of servers that seemed to cater mostly to their timeshare members. We had to wait at least 30 minutes for someone to come (if we were lucky), or no one at all. Also, all the bars close at 5pm, which means there's no one at or before 4:30pm. No food, no drinks, nothing. We did the research prior to going and knew that this is more of a family-friendly property and is very quiet at night. However, it would've helped us tremendously had we known that 5pm really means 430pm or earlier, and that servers aren't really there for regular vacationers

    A family friendly, mostly tranquil, very beautiful place with access to wonderful water based activities if you like that sort of thing. Activities for children and quiet enough for folks like us who want quiet. We’d prefer it even quieter, but compared to most resorts it was peaceful and relaxing. Great staff. There is no public transportation into the nearby town of Puerto Morelos, so you will need to use taxis if you want to enjoy the town. It is charming. Perhaps bike rentals are possible as well, but am not sure about that. The proximity to Delphinus is a big plus. 30 minutes to Cancun airport.
