Downtown hotel in the Cox Business center. We were towing a 6x12 UHaul 2 axel trailer. Called ahead to make sure there was space. There was as Hotel represented, but we ran into New Year’s Eve crowd and had difficulty taking the trailer out around al the poorly parked cars. In the end, we managed to get out with a minor scrape on the round about in front of the hotel. The other Aloft has better parking for trailer towing. Other than that, we had a great stay.
Awesome hotel for the price, room was clean. Only thing that could’ve been better is some complementary breakfast.
Love staying at this brand hotels... Rooms are comfortable. Staff is always friendly and helpful Premises are clean... Thank you
Maps had directions wrong but it wasn’t hard to find entrance. Beautiful location, man came out to help us park! He was very nice. Big beautiful room, comfy beds and nice shower. We had to use our phone flashlights because the light for the bathroom also turns on the hall light which bothers those still sleeping! Of course no breakfast. And they didn’t charge for our dog and just $10 for parking.
Hotel itself is a bit rundown— scuffs on the wall and stains on the furniture. Walls in the rooms are paper thin — you can hear any talking in the hallways and when doors open/close. But the plus side is it’s a great location, close to restaurants and bars. I missed the fine print about paying $10 for parking.
Staff was very friendly. The room was nice and the hotel was quiet for the most part. Easy to get to and conveniently located close to downtown. We brought our dog with us and they gave us no trouble at all. Pet friendly and no pet fee. Even gave him a treat.
There wasn’t any hand soap in the room. Called the front desk and was told that they were out in the entire hotel. I’m not sure if the heat in our room ever kicked on. Heard from other guests that they had the same issue and had to have maintenance come look at the unit. I forgot to ask for a late check out when reserving the room, but I asked the desk if it was still possible, was told yes. We returned to our room, before original check out time, and the maid had already entered our room, even though the do not need service tag was on the door. We had already taken our luggage to the car but left a few toiletries in the room. Maid threw them away and questioned us as to why we were there? “No bags so I thought that you were gone!
Everything was great
Once I actually was able to find the entrance to the hotel, it was a good experience. I followed my GPS to the 200 Civic Center address in the listing and it took me to a parking lot that does not have access to the hotel. I could see the hotel, but couldn’t get to it. After driving around for a while, I finally had to call the hotel for some help in getting to the entrance and was told the entrance is actually at a roundabout near the intersection of 5th and Denver St. Seems like the hotel needs to change its online listing address so people can actually find it!
