Fab views and great place to stay.
Very convenient and comfortable place to stay for a couple of nights when working in the area. Nice room, though carpet could do with a clean, great staff, food and wine. oved the bed and pillows.

The last time I stayed at the Hotel du Vin was 6 years ago and I worried it wouldn’t be the same. Not only was it, but it was so much better. An amazing experience, great staff, and great food

Excellent hotel, great location
Everything about the room was excellent. It was spacious, had nice furniture, and everything worked properly. The bed was very large and quite comfortable. The bathroom was huge with a deep old fashioned bath tub and a must dern rain shower. Everything was clean and sufficient towels and soaps were provided. The “Bistro” was good for dinner, service was again, excellent. We had the set menu, and everything tasted very good. The food wa a little bland though. There are two aspects that are troublesome. 5e first is parking. Overnight parking is available at a nearby supermarket, but it is a bit inconvenient. The other problem (for me) was having to take suitcases up a couple of flights of stairs. The desk clerk tried to help, but she wasn’t able to lift the bags. If you are traveling light, then this won’t be a problem.

Very Good 8.0
Great hotel. Love the attention to detail and making things a little different. Receptionist was fab. Breakfast was seriously good but the service was a little on the slow side. Room was great but gaffer tape around the carpet and leaking tap were a little disappointing and at odds with how great everything else was

Great location and friendly hotel staff. Room had a fantastic view but state of the room was disappointing, could do with decorating and some minor repairs. Service in the Bistro was appalling, very very slow.

Good 6.0
The hotel is well situated. It does have a boutique and slightly old-world feel, which is positive. However, while the staff are very polite and friendly, the service levels were not high. Check-in was very slow at reception and interactions hit and miss as it was not always staffed. The room itself was very comfortable; however, the bathroom was a bit tired. The toilet was a medieval wooden box structure, which while is quirky looking, I found very offputting and unsanitary. Furthermore, our small bathroom sink was blocked and backed up immediately on turning on the taps. Breakfast was excellent. We also had dinner on Saturday night, which was also excellent. However our last round of drinks had to be sent back three times as we ordered doubles, but they were clearly short measures. This last point is not unique to Hotel du Vin and happens in the majority of establishments using conical spirit measuring cups. Staff do not fill them up to the top as they should likely because of inadequate training.
