best budget for Heraklion City center
Property is as described. a bit old and beds are not super comfortable and specially for ladies... but the location and the price are highlights of this centrally located old styles hotel. if you are a budget traveller who wants to live right in the center of the city.. this is probably the best and only option even in peak season.

Could smell sewage. Even though I paid for breakfast and didn't eat any of the pastries, staff complained that I drank too much tea (4 cups) and wanted to charge me more for it

The best location in Heraklion.
The best location in the square centre, surrounded by great eateries, bars, cafes and shops, yet so quiet. Lovely, friendly staff too. Loved the view from the balcony. The lobby area though, needs brightening up, especially the bar and breakfast area. Great value though.

Could not lock door from inside hotel room, no lock on bathroom door, paper thin doors and walls so very noisy, had to leave key with front desk each time we left, shower was smaller than a phonebooth and got entire bathroom floor wet, bed was barely a step above sleeping on the floor

Хороший отель в самом центре
Был в декабре, это несезон на Крите, поэтому цена за номер была очень низкой. Сам отель находится в самом центре на пересечении двух главных пешеходных улиц. Вывеска видна издалека - если бы не знал, то подумал бы что это какой-то пафосный 5* отель. Жил в одноместном номере - комната и ванная очень небольшие по площади. Все не самое новое, но в нормальном состоянии. Немного разочаровало отсутствие холодильника и чайника в номере. Еще небольшой недостаток - окна выходят во внутренний двор и из номеров напротив люди смотрят друг на друга. Отдельно хочу отметить труд горничной. Очень доброжелательная, меняла постельное белье раз в два дня, расставляла тапочки по местам и даже мыла окно с обеих сторон! Еще мне понравился мужчина на ресепшне, был приветлив и всегда улыбался в ответ.
