The hotel is located in front of Japeragua Lagoon. The room had a beautiful sight of it. The hotel in general (room, gym, pool area, hall and restaurant) were always clean. The facilities at the hotel were really good! The hotel staff was extremely kind and nice, so I would say that it had an excellent service.
There are a few restaurants nearby and 2 supermarkets. Although the hotel is located far away from Copacabana, you could still go by bus and subway, which you take just in front of the hotel. The public transportation was good. Also you could visit Barra Beach, Macumba Beach, Recreio Beach, and Pepê Beach which are excellent beaches and not so far away, so you could take a taxi. Barra Shopping and Shopping Metropolitano are also near (around 5 and 3 km).
In order to visit some Rio’s attraction such as Christ the Redeemer, the Sugar Loaf, Selaron steps, Sambodromo, the Metropolitan Cathedral and Maracanã, the hotel offer you this tour (through a travel agency) in one day which includes lunch. We did it and it was great! Our guide spoke Spanish, English and Portuguese and explain several details of each place we saw. There are also other tours which you could ask for at the front desk.
During our stay in the hotel, Maroon 5 concert took place in Jeunesse Arena which is 1 km from the hotel. The hotel was really booked during those days and everything kept working perfectly.
Summarizing I would definitely return to this hotel, and I absolutely recommend it.
