Hotel & Restaurant Bucaneros, Isla Mujeres

No English language on TV - after reaching the second floor there were stairs up to the room - and then steps down into the room. Another step up into the shower - I realize all the rooms weren't like that but ours was. Challenging.

Great hotel to stay at, very nice staff and very helpful! Hotel is in the middle of everything, restaurants, shopping, entertainment all walking distance! Noise was not an issue for us. We def recommend, and would stay here again in the future!

Perfect location and easy access to the beach, shops and more.

We have always wanted to try this hotel. We thought it always looked so unique. It’s right on Hildago, and across from Rolandis, which is my most favourite pasta place. The check in was very friendly and the lady was very kind to us. We booked a double room but after checking it out and realizing there was no balcony she switched us. There is a $30 deposit on the safe box lock. ( got back when we checked out) The room was all that we needed but we could have used more blankets. We like the weight not because it was too cold. The toilet pressure is not good but the shower was great. Lots of hot water and good pressure. The continental breakfast was pretty decent. We knew the location would be noisy because of the location but around 5am the garbage truck was right outside the hotel. We had no issue with that until they started throwing glass bottles into the truck. That was about it for sleep... and we had earplugs in too. Overall it was ok. It’s a rustic/authentic place.

We had stayed at the Bucaneros previously and were delighted to return. It is a very small, quaint hotel that appears to be old but very well maintained. It is in the heart of the "city" right on the main tourist street. You can watch street entertainers from your balcony in the evenings. A short walk will take you to a choice of two beautiful white sand beaches. Beach chairs are available to be checked out at the desk and drinking water is provided on all floors. Many restaurants are within a short walk.

I love love loved this hotel. It's location is perfect walking distance from anything you may need and the beach is about a 7 min walk away. I am definitely going to stay here again soon!

Front staff was friendly, room was clean although very very small. Overall a good stay. Downside was nowhere to sit in the room except the bed. Location was great if you are interested in being in the centre of night life. If you are looking for quiet & subdued stay, this may not be the place for you.

I couldn´t even stay at this property, after 2 hours i was rellocated to another hotel with slightly less good reviews than this one(that was my compensation i think), its a shame more about expedia than the hotel because i can´t even review the hotel where i actually stayed, what make me know that was not even them the ones in charge of this reservation, and i expected more as a gold member of course, btw there was a cute dog on the hotel lobby.

Jesus and staff truly care about you as a guest!It is centrally located and easy walking distance from the ferry.
