The room was very clean and we loved the colour changing lights. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was nice but would have preferred more choice of non sweet foods. Great position for the station, trams, buses, shops and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again

Clean room available for early check in, slightly earlier than planned too, was very helpful. Greeted by friendly smiling face to explain check in process. Slept well, although on main thoroughfare there was no noise. Airy rooms, working lifts, great breakfast bar for £13 each. I would say very satisfactory and a great start to our tour of Scotland. Recommend.

Clean spaces, very central. Lovely, attentive staff. Breakfast was slightly underwhelming but filled you up (you could take a lot on the go, which is fantastic). Minus points for no fridge or kettle in room. This was probably specified but it is still something you expect. Would also love cleaning to be maybe more often than every fourth day. All in all a pretty good experience. Would recommend to someone looking for budget accommodation.

Hotel is okay for maybe two nights stay. It's fairly new so it looked clean and the staff was helpful but the rooms are small. The single beds are very small. Single beds. Large luggage take up too much space. But if you're young and are backpacking or have weekend luggage. Perfect place because of location. But it is on the costly side for what you're getting as to space

The best thing about Point A St.Andrews Square was the location. The breakfast was extra and barely adequate. The room was the smallest we’ve had outside of New York City. There was no coffee or tea. The room was not serviced the first 2 nights we were there. It would not be my choice on another return trip.

There was a kiosk check in. When we ran into difficulties with it, the lady at the desk scolded my 70 year old mother for getting it wrong and wouldn’t stay nearby to help out. Our room was next to a noisy pipe that kept waking us up in the night. They worked hard to try and fix it but it only partially improved. The man that checked us out was very helpful and kind. Five stars to that one.

Brand newly refurbished so very clean lines and everything fresh. Bijoux is ideal word to describe only problem was size of bathroom… not enough space for a tall person to sit on toilet properly in the room. We stayed I. Room 115. We would stay again as very good value for money during the fringe, but would request bigger bathroom if was an option. Other than that great location, very friendly and helpful staff

No shoe horn in the room! Only one salt container for all guests at breakfast. Egg ice cold and hard boiled obviously day before. Super good staff at reception and breakfast ladies. No hand rail at the entrance stairs. Not disable friendly

This hotel was new and the location was great. But it lacks the basic amenities. There is no help and there are stairs. When we checkrd in our room especially bathroom was not clean. Staff is helpful but they are overwhelmed and they cant fix anything. Rooms are small and across the room there was construction. They started at 6.40 am and quite noisy. We turned off yhe AC no need but there was an airduct that continued blowing cold air into our room and was a bit noisy. Overall not a good one.

6/10 Good

The beds are comfy and room is quiet, breakfast was included and it was alright, the location is central which helps. Most of the staff were friendly, and they allowed us to leave our bags in the lobby for a few hours before our train. However, for the price, the room we selected was not uncomfortable but an awkwardly small size for the two of us, good for one night but still a bit cumbersome - no wardrobe, kettle, etc. Maybe if we chose another room it would’ve been different but I’m not sure. Regardless, for the price we paid, I believe you could get something a bit better for a similar price nearby. Overall, not an awful place to stay and one that I think will get better with time, but also one that was worth leaving a review for.

8/10 Very good

Hotel opened very recently so a few areas behind the scenes were a wee bit unfinished but nothing major. Room was very clean and ideal for an overnight stay in the city. Staff were all very pleasant and professional. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of varied choices for everyone to enjoy. No kettle etc in the room so a good idea to make provisions if you like a wee cuppa. Only moan I have was a recurring noise like a loud gameshow buzzer sounding ever few minutes from around midnight until 2am ish. I couldn't identify the source of the noise which eventually stopped. Didn't get a chance to mention this to reception staff when I left as they were pretty busy and it wouldn't put me off booking again.

The location of this hotel is excellent. Super walkable to shopping, restaurants, coffee shops, sightseeing attractions etc. The staff was very nice and friendly, and the common areas of the hotel were clean, however the cleaning of our room (or lack of) was horrible. We checked in on a Sunday and the next time cleaning staff entered our room was on Thursday (after we complained). I’ve travelled to many places in the world and never experienced this lack of cleaning. No daily bed making, no sweeping/vacuuming of the floors, no emptying the super small garbage can … NOTHING!! I completely understand the environmental reasons for waiting several days to change towels and bedding, but to stop ALL cleaning for 4 full days is unacceptable. After complaining we learned their policy is to clean rooms only after 3 days. Even after they finally cleaned our room, they did not refill the complimentary toiletries which were almost all empty on check in. If you are expecting a daily clean/sweep of your room and to have your garbage bins emptied on a regular basis, this is not the place for you.

Nice location and average size room in European standards. Think of a cruise ship sized cabin. Staff were friendly. I would recommend this hotel as it is convenient to the bus and train station and local sights.
