Worse Hotel experience
My Girlfriend and I stayed three nights at this hotel from Thursday to Sunday. The building next door the hotel is under construction. The front Desk lady inform us that if the construction noise was an issue in the morning we should come down for a room change with all our baggies at 8:00 AM on Friday. We didn't wanted to be woken up with noise so we tried to request a room to the other side of the hotel and we were told that only special guests get to pick rooms in that part of the building. There was no towels in the room that we were assign to, we had to call to get them delivered and was told that they have a towel shortage, but towel was later delivered to us. There was absolute no parking in this area. We had to park my car one mile away from the hotel and walk back. The wall in our hotel room was leaking water from the bathroom shower and we had no extra towel to clean it up. We called about the leak and they brought towel to my room and we had to clean it up ourselves. They told us that we are going to get a room change Friday because all the rooms are book and that a lot of rooms will be available on Friday. We went down with all our baggies at 8:00 AM on Friday and they put them in their storage area for us to get a room change later that day. We went to tour the city and get back to the hotel around 7:00 pm and we were tolded that all the rooms are book for the night and that we should come back Saturday morning at 8:00 AM for a room change.

I want my money back
When I and my boyfriend arrived to the hotel, I was told the room that we assigned had no AC. It was after 2am so we couldn’t go anywhere else. I was then told by the front desk that no other rooms were available. They provided us the room at a discount rate and they would change our rooms first thing in the morning. I agreed only because of the discount off on the room. They did accommodate us with another room in the morning. 2 weeks later, my boyfriend and I look at our credit card statements and noticed the hotel charged full price anyway. The hotel should have honored the discount as promised

Exceptional 10.0
The stay here was great! Everyone was so kind and responsive to our requests! Dekalb market hall is super close so great food is just a block away. Very close to subway.

Some positives but more negatives
The night shift just had one overwhelmed person at the front desk, so checking in was 30+ minutes, not cool but ok. Small room, ok. But what i couldn’t take is the hotel is right next to a very active construction site. Heavy equipment noise starting at 8 am and even on weekends. So if your room is facing this side of the building, and you plan on sleeping in or even working in the room like I did, not a good environment for that. Location is solid. Close to stores and subway. Bar attached with good but pricey food.
