Rude Owner
This is my first time staying in a B&B, so I did not really know what to expect. Advantages: Clean room and bathroom. Close to town. Tiny private bathroom with shower Disadvantages: -Old furniture. -dovets were old and ugly so was the carpet. -Very hard and old pillows and uncomfortable Noisy bed. -The bathroom only had liquid hand soap that was half used. -The floor was so noisy and wall paperthin so we had to tiptoe and wisper all the time. -You are not allowed to bring food into your room or enter with your walking boots so we had to take our shoes off and leave them in the entrance. The steps of the stairs are so small and carpeted which caused me to slip and fall from the stairs because I was wearing only socks giving me a huge bruise and major back pain. -Breakfast is served from 8-9 only. -Cups were never changed. -Check out is at 10 am. -when I booked it stated that luggage storage is available so after I checked out I asked the owner ( Viera) were I can keep my luggage until 12pm and she said to leave it in the living room but I came back at 3:30 pm -after a walk in whinlatter forrest where there was no phone reception-to pick it up there was no one there to answer the door bell so I called the owner at the cellphone written on the door and when I told her I am back to pick up my luggage she started yelling and saying I am late and I was supposed to call her to tell her I was coming late and that she is not home and I asked her if there is anyone else who co

Ideal place to stay in Keswick
Good, clean place. Convenient as it’s walking distance to the town.

we had a very good time at Melbreak House. We would have liked to have been offered a choice of museli and marmalade at breakfast. There was no shower gell or conditioner in the bathroom. The bedroom was a very good size and the bed very comfortable. The house, overall, was very clean and comfortable.

Keswick Beer Festival
Lovely B&B, good locality only 5 mins walk into town. Very friendly and helpful owner. This is 2nd stay with 2 other couples. Nice breakfast, choice of cereals and full english. Will be returning. Only one fault is no parking, its a free for all on the street but managed to park close by, not put off. Will be returning.

Good but dated
A very nice host who made us welcome. A decent B&B but the whole place is very dated (VCR in the lounge, old bathrooms) and in need of modernisation
