Great hotel and great location overlooking canal.
Staff was amazing at check in. They help us with taxi's and restaurant recommendations. We were a family of 5 and staying the the 3 bedroom apartment. We had our own balcony and beautiful view of one of the main canals. We had a great location only about 5 minute walk to Anne Frank House and about a 15 minute walk to Van Gogh and Rijksmuseum. There were alot of great restaurants all around.

The hotel has a lot of charm, the rooms are spacious, the showers are nice, beds are very comfortable. Maybe this is typical for the Netherlands, but the front desk staff didn't look up from their desk or greet you unless they needed to let you in, nor were they very helpful with navigating the city. It was the rainy season we were there and the umbrellas they loanded out were broken. There is no elevator here, and the stairs are very narrow, so getting luggage in and out of the room is noisy and a little worrisome.

I was in love with this hotel. It's in a perfect location but not RIGHT on the most crowded street. (it's like 1 street over). It's right next to some great restaurants and very close to everything else. No breakfast but free snacks, coffee and water/sparkling and flat. The staff went above and beyond and were great. The beds were so comfortable. It's the best sleep I've had my whole trip. I would 10/10 recommend this hotel again. They did have very steep stairs and no elevator (just be aware). It's only one floor though.
