La Pineda good value hotel.
Good hotel, average wi-fi, no safe in room. Requested upper floor outside room, but got lower floor inside room. Manageress refused to change it despite departures every day. Only good aspect of reception was charming and polite receptionist Bota, who tried hard to resolve the situation but was overruled by the other person.

Nice hotel
Stayed here middle of September and it was lovely. Staff are great, hotel was very clean and entertainment every night which was great for a night in. We were on a room only basis so we didn't use the hotel restaurant however it was always very busy. Overall great stay here and would definitely return.

Nice hotel not far from the beach
Stayed here in Sept 2015 with my family. Nice hotel, located not far from the beach. Comfortable stay. The only problem was noise from conditioner or fridge installed somewhere on basement floor. Especially in the night. Staff was friendly and was speaking English, Russian and Spanish. Animation was OK. Hotel has a pool, but we didn't use it. Food was fine (we booked half-board). But dinner didn't include any drink at all. Even water was for sale, which was annoying. Location is good, 5 mins of walk to the beach.

Lovely, friendly hotel. Very spacious, rooms on both sides of the complex. The bar is situated just by the poolside just before you reach the restaurant. Rooms are very relaxing and it's easy not to want to leave it.

food is a bit iffy!
Nice hotel with a lovely pool. However, the food was rarely as good as it looked. The meat was of poor quality and sometimes undercooked - be careful! By the end of our week we played it safe with sliced ham. There wasn't as good a selection as what we'd seen in other Salou hotels. Definitely don't go for full board - spend the money eating out, it's well worth it. If you think you're staying in Salou, well, technically you are, as you're just inside the town limits, but in all practicality you're in the next resort, La Pineda. Salou is a 15-minute bus ride - do not attempt to walk there!! It's fine if you choose to spend most of your break at the pool and/or beach. Rooms spotless and cleaned to perfection every day. Very friendly staff!!!

Decent Hotel, If You Don't Mind Not Sleeping
The location is great. It's not really in the town of Salou, but at the edge of Cap Salou, right on the border of La Pineda. Which means you are in a quiet family area, not one filled with late night bars. The beach is a 2 minute walk, and there are shops and restaurants and a water park just 5 minutes walk away. The staff at the hotel are friendly and helpful, and the cleaning and canteen staff are especially hardworking. There was a reasonable variety of food at the buffet (breakfast & dinner), with good selections of meats, fruits and desserts, but a bit lacking in the selection of fresh vegetables (admittedly, hard to do in a buffet). The only gripe is the difficulty of getting a decent night's sleep. The poolside entertainment ran until midnight every night, and the walls are paper thin, so we could hear every sound our neighbors made, and at 7:10 every morning someone rolled carts down the hall (the eager cleaning crew setting up for the day?). We were in the main (older/original?) centre section of the hotel; maybe the two outer wings are better in this regard. So yes, I'd recommend it as a cheap and cheerful place to stay for a family, but bring your earplugs for a good night sleep!

Would stay again
Stayed in Cap Salou mid June for 1 week at Sol D'Or and had great weather and we were 2 minutes from the beach. The hotel was very good and excellent value for money. The reception staff (and only the reception staff) however in my opinion were beyond useless but the tourist office at 5 to 10 minute walk away were excellent. Breakfast was excellent with hot and cold choicesand evening dinner food was buffet and everyone should find something they like but I would have prefered more (some!) local(Spanish) options. I'd give it a 7 out of 10 overall dragged down from an 8 due to reception staff and lack of local food.

will definately return
overall i was really satisfied with my stay at the hotel. it was in a great location 2 minutes away from the beach, opposite an englishpub, within walkin distance from the water park (aquapolis) 5 minute drive from salou centre. so the location was excellent. the hotel its self was great. The food was lovely there was great choice every meal and in the evening at dinner time fresh meat was cooked on a gridle when you wanted it. the hotel bar was nice and never too busy the swimming pool was of an excellent size and there was planty of room around it to soak up the sun. there was only two thing that i was dissapointed with and they were that the hotel wasnt very english and the entertainment at night wasnt very good . they had something different every night but it onli lasted till half 10. but i would definately recomend this hotel.
