Just returned home from another amazing stay at Secrets the Vine. Martha and Alberto at the pool are fantastic as always!!! Paul who asked for our feedback was so friendly and genuine and ensured we had everything we could ever need during our stay. Cannot wait for our return.
My girlfriends and I were excited for a get-away after quarantining for past year. We chose this resort on a recommendation from another friend. However, our was anything but good. What Worked - we rented one of the nicest rooms in the resort, which came with a $1,500 price tag. Facilities were clean and room itself was lovely, but that's where our pleasant experience ended. Negatives were as follows: We purchased "preferred" status, which was supposed to come with VIP check-in. What wasn't clear is that this was closed post COVID, so we kicked off our trip waiting in line 30 mins to check in. A butler was supposed to come with our room, but we only saw him the first day. He was unreachable after that. The food was EXTREMELY bland and service at restaurants was very slow. Our only guess is that they cut corners post COVID. The worst of all is that our bathing suits were BLEACHED after getting out of the hot tub (turned from purple to orange). When we informed the management, they told us the "chemical level" was fine and the bleaching came from our sunscreen. We explained this was impossible, but they would not take responsibility. When asked to see the "chemical report", they refused. What was most disappointing of all was the level of service this resort provided. We had purchased a VIP room and tipped the wait staff generously, but the level of service was not up to par for a "4-5" star hotel. I would definitely not recommend.
Quality of food was terrible. They advertise top shelf alcohol and it wasn’t. Advertised hours of restaurants were wrong. I wouldn’t recommend anyone staying here. It’s overpriced for an all inclusive resort given the poor quality of food.
Perfect for couples
Cleanliness: Every other towel has a stain on it. -Few wearing masks. Service: McDonald’s has better service than this place. -Very slow service, takes 30 minutes to get a drink. Anywhere else such as the Ritz, you would have a new drink before your finished with your current one. -Special requests: With the coronavirus, I prefer to drink using a straw. At first, I was able to get a straw with my drink at the pool bar. However, you ask for a straw from a waitress, a restaurant, or different bar and they say they don’t have any on the entire resort. At the Dragon Restaurant, the waiter and two managers told me the same thing, that the entire resort does not have straws. Even after showing them the photo and telling them I was able to get straws, they keep telling me they don’t exist at the whole resort. -Pool bar doesn’t open til 11, but had workers at it. Asked for a soda, which they clearly had and they refused to serve an hour early. Food: -Nasty, makes you want to puke. The beef burgers, every other bite you get something hard. If you stay here, goto the restaurants across the street instead, such as Harry’s. Hotels.com: -We were promised a $200 resort credit. Have to ask to get it. They avoid it at all costs. Credit is a restrictive coupon. Have stayed at other resorts booked through hotels.com and the resort credits can be used same as cash. Here they are worthless. Pros: The view from room, pools, beach, coffee.
Awesome stay. Great Food, Amazing Views, and you get whats advertised with all inclusive. They super sanitize and are very much on top of guidelines although masks arent required at the resort. Would stay again. Drinks were great, Italian restaurant on site was good too. They are very tight about letting any outsiders visiting.
My hubby and I can for our 1 year anniversary and it was amazing!!!!!! We loved the beach the water was perfect and the beach was always clean. We got i. The pool for a bit but mostly stayed at the beach. Towels were always available and there was always open seating. Staff was pleasant and nice. I already told my family and friends to come to this resort!! Oh and it’s in a convenient location. Really close to a lot of things to do!!
I was at the hotel when Hurricane Delta hit Cancun and the hotel staff were first class in terms of caring for our safety and wellbeing. A huge thanks to the hotel manager, and the hotel team that did their very best in difficult circumstances.
This hotel was perfect for me and my boyfriend anniversary. It was the cleanest I’ve seen anything be during covid. There was a storm during the time we were there but they had plenty of activities like casino night with play money but it was awesome! I would definitely go back in a heart beat
amazing hotel and service 2nd time at this hotel love the views
