stay somewhere else
in a nutshell it was not great - no elevator and 2 of us were older women with heavy suitcases. the kitchen needed attention - fridge door handle repaired with scotch tape...coffeepot interior was rusty...wine glasses had to be washed before use..both bedrooms had plastic sheets scotch taped in the window space over the air conditioner, it popped out 2 days in a row in the smaller bedroom letting in bugs and in both bedrooms it didn't keep out noise. As to noise, no one mentions the apts are in the takeoff and landing path of the nearby airport resulting in constant loud noise and loss of sleep. I could go on, but I will just say I'll never use hotels.com again

Do not stay here!
It was awful. It is a 1960's apartment building with an apartment rented out as a "hotel apartment". There is no sign outside as it is primarily an apartment building. Even though I was born and raised in Montreal it was difficult to find. No kidding! It's not on a main street as one would expect but on a residential street. The lobby was plain, the hallways dingy. The apartment was clean but the carpet smelled. It was certainly different from the website. Even though we were only booked for one night we did not even check in! We forfeited the one night charge and booked into one of the seemingly few remaining hotel rooms in Montreal for July 1st.

Don't Trust the Photos!!
The only positive things about this place were the spaciousness of the rooms and the laundry service. The free Wi-Fi was like having dial-up and you could barely keep a connection. The rooms were not very clean - the bathroom was disgusting, pubes everywhere and long hair in what were supposed to be clean towels!! The blinds were missing pieces, food had been left from the previous person, I found a clump of hair in one of the bedrooms and the a/c in one room was so loud you could barely sleep. If it hadn't been so hot we would've turned it off. The a/c units were falling apart and should have been replaced a long time ago. The apartment only had six breakers in the panel, and while not familiar with Canadian building codes, US codes would have required a lot more, plus dedicated circuits. It's amazing the whole complex has not burned down. As for a non-smoking room I guess smoking marijuana doesn't count. The 2nd bedroom smelled of it. When I went to check us out early the lady didn't even give him a chance to say why before she said, "No refunds." So we never got even a partial credit for the 2nd night. Oh, and the picture on the hotels.com site looks NOTHING like what we got for a room!

Very affordable stay
This is my 3rd time at Beausejour. The staff are always nice and friendly and there's free parking. The place does need a renovation since it is old but considering the good rates, it is acceptable esp if you are staying for a longer time. The free wifi needs to be better though. It is a quiet residential neighborhood w/ a small bar and a car mechanic shop nearby but it's no prb or concern. Overall, still a decent choice if on a budget and would rather spend your money elsewhere instead of accommodations.

Not luxury but far from Spartan.
This was our second time there. We opted to spend an extra 25 dollars and get the one bedroom apt. The building is a former three story walk up apt complex circa early 60's,I'm guessing. The full kitchen had a good assortment of cups, glasses, knives ,plates and a cutting board. The hotel is 5 min from a large shopping center with decent liquor store. It is a short taxi ride from the airport or the train station. You could walk from the train station in less than ten minutes. There is no reception per se;you call some one from the lobby and they let you in. The negatives are the very loud window air conditioners in the rooms and the lack of elevator. There is no central air but the air conditioner cooled the whole apt with the bedroom door open to a comfortable temprature and it was 90 degrees out when we stayed there. That said,I slept fine and the air conditioner drowned out the sound of the planes taking off from the airport. The hotel is right under the flight paths . So are most of the hotels and homes in the area. I'd stay there again. They are nice folks and it is very reasonably priced.
