A pleasant night, found the bed hard but settee was very soft along with desk chair that nearly flew a cross the room so struggled to find somewhere comfortable to sit. The duvet was too thick and no sheet available as alternate bu apart from this it was a good night

Overall, £50 a night quality at £150 a night (after Experia had added on their 'taxes'!) Dismissive, impolite staff on the front desk, who didn't look up, smile, respond when bid a 'good morning' and turned to help other, more 'expectant' guests in the middle of serving us. Broken heater in room and a duty manager who lied to us, saying he'd checked it and it was working, then failed to inform the manager we'd be coming to speak to her the next day (thankfully, the manager was very professional and refunded our room for that night) A bathroom which flooded out into the bedroom due to the shower floor not being fitted correctly, and black mould around the shower. The smoking hut opposite the hotel entrance used throughout our stay by locals hanging out smoking and drinking alcohol. Good point-the staff in the restaurant, both evening and breakfast, were great. However, the food in the evening was similar to what you'd get at a service station... But restaurant prices. This hotel was packed with lads on stag nights the weekend we stayed. It's probably a good place for that kind of event, but not for 2 women visiting The Baltic and a concert at The Sage. Avoid like the plague.
