Gorgeous hotel scary location
The hotel itself was wonderful. A beautifully restored boutique hotel with awesome amenities. However the location is smack in the middle of the tenderloin. There is a pod directly across the street for the homeless to shower and go to the bathroom, tents lined the street out front. I definitely did not feel safe in the neighborhood as a woman. They do lock the hotel doors 24/7 so that was a little comforting. Wish this adorable hotel was in a different spot!

Good 6.0
Tiny room with no air conditioning and bad area
The hotel is in an area called Tenderloin which is extremely dirty, smells terribly and apparently is rather dangerous. The staff were very nice but our room was two queens and was tiny and 2 people could barely moved in it. The bath tubs have no plug as they are probably trying to limit water usage and save money and the toiletries are locked to the wall. Our body lotion was actually shower gel! No air conditioning either and the noise from the road was so bad we got no sleep at all! I would never recommend anyone to stay here unfortunately. After a busy day out it’s important to sleep and with no air conditioning you need the window open. The room smelt due to the vile smells of irked from the street below. Marijuana smells also as drugs are rife in the area.

Friendly staff but not a good location.
Hotel staff was great however the location was not good or safe at all. A lot of homeless outside. They didn’t border us but still we have to walk pass them which is not a view you would want to see during your vacation. The tub was not in good condition. The food at the Thai restaurant at the corner was excellent. Highly recommend it.

Exceptional 10.0
Great Staff
The room was great, the staff - fantastic, even though the location is horrible (Tenderloin) - I think it was a great stay. A huge TV and very spacious room.

Hotel was nicely remodeled. Rooms are nice sized and comfortable. Be prepared for no A/C if that is important to you, otherwise sleeping with the windows open is just fine. Neighborhood is definitely of concern after dark.
