Room and service was great. The only drawback was that my room faced the highway and there was a lot of traffic noise but it is understandable. Next time I would request a room on the opposite side of the hotel. Nice stay otherwise.

Nice resort, great for kids and family time. A/C was not working the entire stay and we asked to get it fixed but never happened. Wasn't a huge setback as it was nice outside so we were not inside much during the day.

    problem checking in
I am writing to you to express my frustration regarding my stay this past weekend. We initially booked a room at the Paradise resort with the understanding that it was more expensive but a bit more upscale. Upon arrival we were being talked into taking a cheaper suite in the sunset resort. After refusing to stay there we were told that the booking didn't show up as a paradise resort booking (someone needs to fix the system?!?) and therefore we would have to change rooms the next day. In a rush to get the room and get our one year old settled we accepted this as we didn't really have any other choice. This resulted in the next struggle we called ahead to request a crib and we were told that the hotel has both playpens and cribs we asked for a crib as our son does not like sleeping in a playpen (this is actually not allowed anymore either - check Health Canada). Upon requesting the crib once the room was sorted out we were given a playpen and told there was no crib...why did someone tell us over the phone you had both then?!? The next day when we go to move rooms the new room is smaller and has no room for a playpen. After a few hours of wasting time struggling back and forth we move furniture around and figure out a way to make it work by putting the playpen in the closet and accepting that otherwise we will just waste MORE time on our already limited vacation time. Then comes our next disappointment on Sunday when we get our son ready to go in the pool & the pool is closed .

We enjoyed our time...the pool area and water was a little cool for our young children which meant they got quite chilled.

Noisy and run down for the price
Reception was friendly and pointed us in the direction of the elevators from the free underground parking, However the elevator was broken down and remained so while we stayed there. Reception weren’t aware of this. The room keys didn’t work and upon returning to reception it took a while to raise someone. In fact every time we went to reception there was someone new there and didn’t know who we were.. When we finally got in to the room it was spacious and the idea of the kitchen was great. However the appliances were aging and all were very noisy. A constant electrical hum from the switchboard and no sound proofing from room upstairs made the apartment noisy. There was no heating vent in the bedroom & leaky window made the bedroom cold. Fireplace would not turn on & tv remote didn’t work. Reception didn’t tell us about a resort fee which appeared unexpectedly on our credit card bill after we returned home. So while the location was very scenic and spa pool was great, overall it was expensive for what we got and wasn’t a great experience.
