Great place to stay in Bendigo the only issue we had was the hotel band didn’t stop till…
It was okay, not as luxury as 20 years ago but just in good local.

Was not too bad. Only breakfast not organized properly. Only picked up 3 packs when checked in, went to get for next day but receptionist said they ran out in the weekend and same with the 3rd morning of our stay. I called the receptionist and she managed to get some for my family thanks, our last morning we were only given only 2 packs even when we asked for 4 and we just leave it and can't wait to get out. Housekeeping was ok and friendly ladies.
This grand old hotel has very restored its residential area very well. We couldn't find fault with the Spa Suite on the third floor. The only issue is the very poor wi-fi. That's something that really needs to be improved. Don't expect to get any reception in your room. It's also a pity that the bar areas of the hotel don't share the same ambience as the residential section. I suppose they are trying to cater to a broader audience but it's really starting to look and feel quite tacky, with its neon signs and American themes. Seriously?
Beautiful old worldly hotel and lovely room, used the restaurant, 3 min walk to parking and sensational location.
The hotel rooms were big enough for our needs, they were quiet which allowed for a great sleep.
Very enjoyable stay - nice room - Charles Thatcher. Enjoyed the Friday night music on the balcony. Food good - service good. Special recommendation to Room cleaning - first class job as was the rest of the hotel - very clean with Sanitizer everywhere. And the location is especially good - can walk to everywhere in the city
The location is great, friendly service and rooms were lovely .
All good. Would stay there the next time in Bendigo. Very central. Tele a bit small but was still ok
Sensational location. Lovely views of gardens and cathedral from our balcony. We loved the novelty of climbing out the sash window to the balcony. Great fun! Comfy bed and pillows, perfect stay all round!
Beautiful old building. Heaps of space. A little cold, but a good effective heater. Very comfortable mattresses.
