We returned because we were very satisfied
This hotel is very well situated in the historic area of town .It is in a historic building itself ,but the facilities are all quite up to date. The lobby is not just attractive, but an enjoyable place to relax. The pool area is small ,but charming and a pleasant place to read and relax and cool off. The service is impeccable with only one caveat: don't take their advise for restaurants as that tended to be very hit or miss.
Great location, good food and felt very safe walking around in the center. Will stay here again on our next trip back.
The stay was pleasant, but the hot tub/shower was clogged, so the hot tub kept filling with water. Moreover there were some black hairs on the sink, that belonged to other people than us, and the floor was kind of dirty.
Well located to the old city and well within walking distance to alot of resturants.
Location is great but then again, that goes without saying seeing how everything is in a 10 block radius. The lobby and facade is far nicer than the rooms, which although clean, are very dated. Everything was clean and organized but amenities were minimal. eg: The iron and ironing board barely work and the soap was scentless and left our skin very dry. Food at the hotel is very average and I suggest going elsewhere for food. On an completely dead night I ordered two bottles of water up to the room and it took almost a half hour - they were unable to charge the card I left for incidentals and I had to dig for cash while I was half asleep, he had no change for me and took almost another 15 minutes to bring back my change (the lobby is a 1 min walk). Pool is tiny but the outdoor area is cute and less dated than the rooms. Stay here if you plan on only using this hotel for sleeping purposes but not if you want a place to chill.
Great location and good value! Super breakfast and quick service.
Location was good. Only a couple of blocks from the beautiful malecon. Fantastic breakfast. Pianist playing while you eat was very classy.
Hotel has a nice lobby and it's on a very good position. However, there is no mini bar in the room, and staff's English is very limited (with some exceptions, but they are not always around), which makes communication very difficult. We asked for the cab to the bus station, and they called the small one, where our luggage couldn't fit. We were lucky to hail it on the street, and make it to the bus station on time.
The location of this hotel is good. An extra bonus was that they had onsite parking. The old town is easily accessible by foot. Our room was spacious and clean. The hotel did not offer any of that “ old” Spanish conquestador patina that one perhaps would expect from a hotel in this part of town. This hotel is more of a 90s vintage trying to look old .
