In the middle of Nature
I got off the autobahn and drove through Germany at its best! The fall colors were beautiful. This was late in the afternoon and again the next morning as I proceeded to Frankfurt Airport. Speaking of, the airport was a close 2-2 1/2 hours away! The hotel itself was quaint, the breakfast (though I did not participate as I needed to leave) looked and smelled great. This would be a very nice place to also stay at for a longer stay and walk around the area!

Very nice country-style hotel
I stayed at the hotel for 4 nights and had a very nice experience. Facilities are clean and spacious. Wifi is free (and works), breakfast buffet is excellent and worth the 8 Euro. Parking is free. A car is advised. The owning family is around and very helpful, which gives the hotel a family atmosphere. Pets are welcome.

Quiet, relaxing in very pleasant surroundings
Staff went out of their way to get a room with a bathtub ready for us. Quiet and pleasing stay. Breakfast included and excellent. Good location, a short drive to charming Schmalkalden, a very historic town; or if you prefer to hike, and enjoy the outdoors then you just need to cross the street and strike out.
