Casually relaxed, eschewing hype
I've stayed at this hotel four years ago, and I'm still satisfied. It's a cozy, friendly place which sttains all the expectations I have for a hotel (quiet, decent food, pleasant staff, good location), and safety). There are many other options in Iloilo City, but I like the option of being able to open a gate and go for jogs or walks on the riverwalk esplanade, which is the city's perfect route for runs (two miles for the circuit). Other hotels seem to overdo it with hyped hospitality, but this one is causally relaxed.

It was not a pleasant stay from checking in... ilwe booked a Queen size bed room for 2 days - we arrived after 3pm and the room was not yet prepared... we were told they will put the two beds together. Upon gettin into the room we found 3 beds in the room... the put together one and two more single ones - and hardly any room to walk about. Then there was the question of loud noises from outside, not yo mention the aircon. Just too loud... so we complained and we were moved to another room. Then the TV was not working so we call for help, after 20 mins we called again since no one came... we were just told that all guests are complaining the same thing about their TVs.... the following night - still the same problem we called again and 20 mins went by and still no one came - so we called again - alreafy ipset at this point... finally they sent someone and it was just a matter of replacing batteries...😡 The worse part is the swimming pool which is part of the reason why we stayed here. The pool had so much garbage floating... bugs and plastics and dirt... and the surroundings was in disarray. The poolside is used as a storage for the hotel’s extra chairs and folded tables. When i asked the bellman why the pool is soooo dirty, he looked at the maintenance guy and asked him yhe same, to which the maintenance guy replied, with a scared face, “i will send someone to clean it now...”. Needless to say the 3 days, two nights we stayed in the hotel, no swimming.

The hotel staffs are very friendly and polite. Hotel is old so it's noisy and the water tank seems a bit stuck.

Easy walking distance to SM City and many restaurants. The hotel is older and could use some updating, but the staff were friendly and the rooms clean.
