Barceló Maya Caribe - All Inclusive

This place is amazing. The staff are so friendly, and work very hard to make sure you have a wonderful and enjoyable experience. The facility is beautiful. The food is delicious. I wish I could have stayed longer. It was a truly awesome vacation. I would strongly encourage people who are going to bring money to tip. The staff deserve it.

I was really satisfied with Barcelo Maya. The service was excellent, the food was delicious and the resort itself was remarkably clean and well kept. I have been returning to the resort numerous times over the last few years because of the amazing hardworking staff and amenities provided by Barcelo. I'd like to thank Cesar Velasco, Irasema, Wendy and Oscar for their exceptional service this last time around. I'm looking forward to my return soon!

The resort is very spacious with a lot to do. The beaches are beautiful with great swimming spaces. The pools are very clean, large, and fun with swim up bars. The staff was incredible - very helpful, attentive, and friendly throughout our stay. We stayed in the Caribe area and the rooms were somewhat outdated. We noticed the bathroom was kind of dirty especially around the shower. The room smelled somewhat musty so we kept the patio door open when we could. We also had an issue with all of the lights in our room turning off automatically on the first day but an employee was able to help us with this.

Great place for kids and family. Caribe and Tropical are the main two resorts if you have kids. Better kids pool at Tropical, but the beach is better at Caribe. They are next to each other so staying at either one is fine. Great staff and clean resort. Food was good. Better at the larger buffers near the lobby than close to the beach. Great time. Will be back.

The resort is absolutely beautiful. The grounds are well kept with so much greenery and the beaches were wonderful. I was not very impressed with the buffet food. Breakfast was wonderful, but lunch & dinner seemed to be a little on the bland side and food overcooked. The staff had a difficult time keeping food and condiments replenished, having to constantly ask for things to be refilled. The ala carte restaurants were very good, but very difficult to get reservations. The staff did their best to keep up beat during a trying time for the resort due to their efforts of keeping the Corona Virus at bay. Hand-sanitizer was provided throughout the entire resort, specifically at each restaurant & buffet. It was a great resort for my son's senior group with lots of activities to keep them busy during our stay. I would recommend staying their if you have a large group. If it were just my husband & I, we would probably try the adults only portion of the resort for a little less crowd.
