We love this hotel
Our second trip to this hotel. Stunning boutique hotel in a very convent location. Exceptional service and beautiful rooms. Ideal for a romantic escape.

Very Good Location
We stayed for two nights in a ‘King Deluxe’ room at the Aldington Hotel in Launceston. We found the hotel always had sufficient free parking for the clients. The hotel’s location was very good as it was on a hill with a view and it was very close to the city centre with supermarkets, shops, restaurants, petrol stations and other facilities within close proximity. The room itself was compact with a small wardrobe; an iron and ironing board; a king bed; a 40-inch flat-screen TV and DVD player; two side tables with shelves, an iPod dock; three chairs. The room had a desk and chair; a microwave; a kettle, cutlery, glasses, plates, bowls, cups and saucers, coffee, tea, sugar and milk. The room was air-conditioned. The bathroom was large with a shower, a single vanity, and toilet, hair dryer and free toiletries. There was however no shelf space or cupboard space in the bathroom. The TV was awkwardly placed on the desk, limiting space on the desk and obstructing the view of the TV. This could easily be fixed by wall-mounting the TV. The only three negatives we found at this hotel are 1. There was a layer of dust on everything. 2. The window in the bathroom was dirty and covered in mildew and dust. 3. The overall level of cleanliness was poor. The size of this room would probably limit it to a weekend stay. Any longer would be uncomfortable and require a larger room.

Good 6.0
Photos are not what you get
Room I booked differed to photos, no queen bed.. just two different height single beds mashed together. Spa wasn't a large spa like in room photos either. I thought it overpriced getting a room like that. Doubt I'll go back as it's quite dishonest advertising something that is not.

Would recommend, will stay again
Great place to stay. We had the spa room with city views. Excellent, walking distance to pizza pub, shops, restaurants. Very helpful staff, would recommend. Easy off street parking
