This is a superb hotel. I’ve stayed at the Hotel Okura Kobe many times and keep coming back for the rooms which are excellent – both clean and sufficiently spacious – and the superior service. The buffet breakfasts are also excellent. The Hotel also operates an extremely convenient shuttle bus that goes to Sanomiya Station [the main train station in Kobe] every 20 minutes for most of each day which makes it feasible – by taking the Rapid and Super-Rapid JR Trains [note: these are not Shinkansen trains but are still quite fast and much more economical] – to also sightsee in Osaka and Kyoto while staying in Kobe.
