    No hot water. Some staff friendly. Others not so much. Hotel mostly empty. But, was given room with lousy view on empty floor & with no hot water - because I got a good rate on Hoteks.com??? Has two double beds instead of one - not even the room I booked.

    I liked the hotel San Agustin Posada del Monasterio mostly because of its location. It's located right in front of Monasterio de Santa Catalina and few blocks away from Plaza de Armas. The area is safe day and night. There's plenty to do around after touring Arequipa. Coffee shops, restaurants, museums, shops, and of course, Plaza de Armas. The service is great, staff is friendly, and transportation is easy to and from the hotel.
