Hotel Posada Del Mar

We have stayed at this hotel before. Location is excellent and they have a nice pool. The rooms in the old section are below par with hopelessly outdated bathrooms. The new section has nicer rooms and is closer to the pool plus the beds are good. The front desk staff is not always friendly or helpful. The restaurant has good and bad days. On good days the breakfast is good on bad days you can count on bad service, cold food and stale coffee. After the last bad breakfast we decided to go next door.

Everything was awesome except the breakfast because they served us toasted bread with mold but everything else was ok

The check in was awesome, we were allowed an hour early. The room looked nice but...I noticed a hair long dark hair on my sheet and also on the inside of my comforter. Also some sort of stain on one of my pillow cases, looked like some sort of orange sauce. Not a good start! The sliding door was really hard to close and by our third day we couldn’t close it enough for the lock to catch, but we had a safe to put our valuables in so...all good! The over head light wouldn’t stay on it would flicker and then go out, we forgot about it one night and woke around 1am to bright light shining on us. Lol. The location is wonderful but the hotel needs a lot of upgrades. I would stay again but would definitely check my room first.

The hotel location is excellent. The servers at the Pingüino breakfast restaurant are very humble and friendly. The hotel was ok nothing fancy but could have been better for the price paid. Playa del norte is like 6 minutes away walking distance. Overall Ok.

This was our first stay at Posada Del Mar, but will not be our last!! We spent 6 short nights, and loved everything about it. I booked it for location, and it did not disapoint! Directly across the street from the beach, walking distance to so much. The rooms are old, but everything else about it was awesome. Loved the pool and Romy the bartender. Best margarita I had!! Staff were excellent. We will be back!!! Thank you everyone.

This is a great middle of the road hotel across the street from the beach. Romy's Bar is poolside and Romy is the best!! Easy to get to anywhere on the north end by foot.

We stayed for 3 days while exploring isla mujeres. We loved staying here they are so accommodating and they are located right across the street front he beach. Location is everything right next to playa norte A big plus is the pool area. All rooms have balcony facing pool. I would recommend this place to anyone not looking to spend to much in a room where you just come to shower and sleep. Isla mujeres is so beautiful that you won’t be in you room at all. Plus the rooms are not bad at all.. will be staying here again in the future

One of the best locations on the island , very friendly staff and was very clean,I would recommend this hotel ,I have been going there for fifteen years and always has been consistently well maintained and always clean
