Comfortable business hotel
I was there for a conference and it ticked the box. There was an issue with air conditioning not working properly in my room but staff were very attentive and moved me to another room. I also asked for a quiet room and they delivered. I didn't hear a thing. The wifi keeps switching on and off (it does not persist on your phone), which is annoying. I like the hotel providing tea & coffee making facilities in the rooms - good touch. It's a comfortable hotel all in all and really suits conferences but it's located in an unexciting, slightly dodge neighbourhood that they obviously can't do anything about. As a tourist, I would prefer somewhere more central but really I have no complaints.

Awful bed in interesting location
The bed was the most uncomfortable I've stayed in (And I've been in many low end hotels and hostels that had a much better bed and pillow). Hotel was ok but not worth the price. Location is far from tourist attraction but convenient for food places and a local bars.

Reasonable shared room, bit far out.
While it was the cheapest option we could find in Berlin for 1 room that could take 2 adults and 2 kids, the double bed was a couch folded out and quite uncomfortable. No English TV channels except CNN stocks and shares rubbish - i find this almost unbelieveable in a 4 star hotel. Its a bit far out, with the u bahn requiring at least one change to get anywhere of interest. Staff were lovely.

Fair 4.0
Fooled by the hotel or the web site
I had an issue with the room advertisment, I was "forced" by the web site to get 2 rooms instead of one room, and I had to pay for 2 rooms when one room was enough for my family. Because the description of the room did not say that the room that I choose fits all of us, so I had to book 2 rooms which was not necessary. Because when I got to the room there was enough beds to fit all of us, there were 3 beds we were a couple with a baby and 2 teenagers, so it was enough. So I pay for more than I need it for with no necessity. I did not like that type of strategy from either the web site or the hotel, I think this is not the way to do business.

Fantastic stay
The staff in this hotel go above and beyond in every aspect. I needed help unscrewing a PC part at 4am, no problem! The security guard helped. I needed boxes shipped - no problem! They helped. The food is delicious. Rooms are spacious. Would happily go again.

No Parking
When arriving at the hotel the parking garage was completely full and the people outside were not helpful on where there was additional parking. We had to drive around for almost an hour before finding parking at a nearby mall. They were having an event and didn't have enough parking for guests. We did get a free upgrade but they did start drilling in our area around 8:25 am in the morning. The rooms were nice and clean but the overall experience was disappointing.

First choice in Berlin
Room was very nice, clean and comfortable. Reception lady was very friendly. Easy walk of about 600m to bus stop to catch the bus to tegel airport. Metro station about 3 mins walk away. Big supermarket downstairs selling fresh fruits 🙂 Mercure MOA will be our first choice when in berlin..definitely recommend 👍👍👍

I was lost in the shuffle somehow
They could not find my pre-paid reservation for nearly 20 minutes. They finally gave me a key that did not work so they gave me a second key that opened a room already with guests staying in the room! Then they gave me a key to my room. All that said, the new beds in the renovated rooms are not comfortable. It's like sleeping on a celophane sheet and the pillowcases don't hold the pillows. Very strange and not restful. Oh, if you want English TV forget about it. Russian, Turkish, German, Arabic yes but not English (other than news but that gets old after a bit).

Value for money in Berlin
The Mercure MOA Berlin was a good spot of accommodation for us during our stay in Berlin. The nearest train station is about a 5-10min walk, which is helpful for getting into the city and the main sightseeing areas. Walking is a little bit harder but we enjoyed checking out the area and walking to and from the city centre. Big bonus is the shopping/grocery centre located at the bottom of the building complex of the MOA, which meant we could grab cheap breakfasts, snacks and dinners if need be. The cafe/bakery on the same floor also serves coffee early in the morning which is great.
